Are my punches suffering from this injury?

I've had this problem with my hands because when I first started I was no better off then a piece of leather guarding my knuckles; my knuckles on my left hand are flat and my right are not( 'cause I'm a south paw) it's because of small micro fractures witch can strengthen the bone, but if there's no time to heal, your knuckle will flatten and the bones might expand sideways causing the pain in the joint of your knuckles and first bone in your fingers. Id recommend getting heavier than normal gloves with good wraps or go to a light bag with normal oz gloves and wraps.

I'd say get some hand wraps and a decent pair of gloves and work on technique for a while and see how ur knuckles feel afterward

Don't do any more punching until you've had a consultation with an experienced boxing physician. Otherwise, you end your boxing career.

Noo .

I often trained on my boxing bag at home without any hand protection for 1-10 minute sessions of giving it all I had. I was stupid enough at the time to believe this would strengthen my knuckles however it did the opposite. I think over the 4 or so months I did it, it's affected all my knuckles to a point where all their points have decreased in size as I used to have big knuckles. Though I think the only real issue is my two index knuckles, I feel a slight weakness in them, and they no longer have those points knuckles tend to have, they've flat. I've been to doctors and x-rayed them and they come up as being 100 percent fine. It's just a slight pain I feel in either one sometimes, they just feel a lot weaker.

So will I be fine to carry on training with punches? I've been living the past couple of years since it happened as if I couldn't use my fists if it came to it anymore. However I would like to start training again and not letting this stop me.

Will I be fine to carry on training again (with proper gloves) without any reason or fear of doing damage and being able to know they are still effective, baring in mind the x-ray was fine?
