Against of course, it's already a disgrace with the watered down alphabet soup sanctioning bodies and numerous weight divisions that exist, adding another meaningless belt will only further destroy the meaning of the word "champion" and create another half dozen or so "titlist's" who will refuse to fight each other and make any real unified "championship" a political impossibility. Boxing should combine some of the fragmented weight classes they already have and go back to the original eight, it would better serve the sport. Unfortunately it wouldn't serve those who make money off the sport, so the odds are against it ever getting any better.
I'm against it. There are way too many divisions in boxing as it is. I say keep one HW division. Being a huge HW doesn't really mean that you're a better HW. David Haye easily outboxed Nikolai Valuev and Valuev is 7ft and 300 lbs. I understand that the HW's of today are bigger like the Klitschko's, but even they have been beaten by smaller HW's. I always felt that there should be ONE HW Champ, not a HW Champ and a Super HW Champ. That's fine for the amateurs but not in the pros.
