Boxing: What do yall think about Guerrero being arrested?

Will this affect the Mayweather fight?

It is possible that the courts in New York will be aggressive on this issue as Bloomberg is trying to stir up the national debate on gun control. Guerrero could be "made an example of" but it appears to be just a bonehead move where they brought an unloaded firearm for a photo shoot without clearing it. I think Golden Boy's legal team will be all over it.

UPDATE: From the looks of it, yes it is about the politics of the situation and again, about the ignorance/just plain stupidity of the Guerrero camp regarding firearms. The Queens DA is making an example of him and are going full bore (pun intended) after him for the unloaded firearm and 3 unloaded magazines. They are standard 15 round capacity mags, but in places like New York and my beloved California, anything about 10 rounds (7 in New York now) is considered high capacity. So New York's new law makes what would be a Class A misdemeanor into Class E Felony. Guerrero faces up to 4 years in prison if convicted.

I say it was a very stupid move. I also say that New York's laws are stupid, punitive, and made only to serve the elite.

What a bonehead Guerrero is. This is so stupid I can't even comprehend how this could posibly happen.

I don't think it will effect his chances of being able to fight, but in a fight of this magnitude any distraction for Guerrero is magnified.

I see Guerrero's odds of winning, climbing. And the hill is getting steeper.

No big deal, a lot of boxers have run in's with the law, it will not effect the fight in the slightest.

I read in a article that either roadrunner or speedy gonzales will take his place if he is not released on time.
