Boxing: Why is it that Floyd is so used to getting tune-up fights?

I do not think he needs a tune up, he fought his wife and children, also the security guard. He is not a man, cannot fight real competition. Sergio Martinez The World Middleweight Champion would clean his clock and beat some sense into this reform school reject. Like the Godfather would say to him: "You Can Act Like a Man." He needs to leave the Gerital Bunch alone, padding your record with tomato cans is not manly, but proving your mettle against great fighters will silence your critics and will build a legacy for legendary status. He should fight Martinez for the World Middleweight Title held by Sergio. No catch weight, no Bologna, you want the title you fight at the champs terms or take a walk, only to be remembered as a foul mouth waste of humanity. I would not waste my hate on an illiterate wife and child beater. No man should ever abuse or beat his wife and children. Only a fool believes that money can buy him respect and dignity, not everyone can be bought.

The only tune up fight for Floyd since he came back to boxing was his bout versus Juan Manuel Marquez. The bouts versus Shane Mosley, Victor Ortiz and Miguel Cotto are the types you can't call tuneups, world titles were at stake in those. So is his forthcoming fight versus Robert Guerrero.

True, Floyd fights just once a year but it does not mean those fights are tune up, especially when world titles are on the line.

I think instead of criticizing Floyd, you should give him props for preserving and even extending/prolonging his prime shelf life by fighting sparingly. Pacquio could learn a thing or two from Floyd in this aspect. Why, even the greatest fighters of old fought tune ups and less frequently as they aged.

There's science and logic to it and Floyd's 43-0 record, including 4-0 coming back are proofs.

Ask yourself this, how would pac do against Guerrero?

Now, of course since you're a pactard you'll say Pac beat him with a suprise kameyameyha, power by Jesus Christ.

Let's be realistic, Guerrero would probably give Pac hell. Ortiz would have done a lot of damage. Mosley would have fought better had it been 3 years before pac fought him.... I can go on and on.

Point is

Mayweather is a far superior boxer to little pacman, that's why all of his fights look easy. No one comes close to Mayweahers skill level. Not even little future president Pacman.

Mayweather has signed a 6 fight deal with showtime , Guerrero being the 1st fight .

So Floyd will be around for sometime yet , and i am very happy we get to see a great fighter sign such a deal .

I don't know where you get you info. from but it is clearly void

Mayweather seems to be the cock of the walk in boxing and can call his own shots. Why ? Because we continue to support him via PPV or watching his fights which raise the ratings .

smh.. you truly are the biggest piece of t?rd this planet has ever witnessed. with years of being an incomeptent tard in this forum, you would think you'd finally understand how boxing works... a level 7 account and still a complete airhead.

This boy kept his azz idle for several months only to go back picking on easy opponents for tune-ups. I bet after Guerrero he will be off from boxing again.

Does it becomes a habit that Floyd can not get away with? Its as if he's a tune-up addict.
