Is my boxing trainer fake and if so what should i do?

You gotta make sure he's lying before you confront him lol. If I were a beginner like you I would look for a different trainer and look at his fighters.

Ask the fighter how long has he been training with him etc. Just to make sure he built a fighter from the ground up. Look for trainers that have great fighters and great amateur boxing records and achievements. Ex: GGs, Pals, Desert Showdown, Junior Olympics, Olympics, etc.

Don't be afraid to ask the trainer of great fighters, just because they have good fighters doesn't mean he won't train you.

i cannot say wether he is lying or not. if u donnot have a good feelling about him i would quickly switch boxing trainers . i was once in a simular situation . it wassent boxing training however. it was a martial art calld krav maga . my trainner was supposibly this guy that went undercover and fought in other countries in war. he was telling us all thease crazy stories about **** he supposibly scene ect, very very graphic stuff.. not im not saying he was lieing but he gave me a bad vibe. he bit one of his students and made them bleed, he thretend a young student of his and walked around with that fear me kinda attitude. now im not saying he was a bad trainner maybe some people liked that macho thretending attitude that he carried but i didnt. i quickly left the gym after i finished my month of trainning that i paid for and never returned...

i switched to another martial art and trainner and told him of my past exsperience with the krav maga instructer. he told me not to worry hes not lieing to me, he would never thretend any of his students and showed me his trophys that his gym had earned, he also showed me the peoples he trained under and i could look those people up to confirm they are the real deal. he also told me that if the his gym wassent for me i could leave whenever i wanted. basically he made me feel very confertable!

bottum line is there are fake instructors who will lie about there accomplishments, there are instructors who u wont like and there are trainners u will like. look around for someone else that u trust like i did. good luck buddy

ps sorry for type erros.. my english not the best.

it is hard to trust someone you know has lied to you . I don't know if you want to be a fighter or not but if you do I would find someone else before he lies to you about something else and he will. Is he a good coach ? If he is and you want to stay there you might want to get you parents involved .in it

i wouldnt recommend it without some skills first.. why dont you just find a new instructor

probably fake

well the thing is i joined this boxing gym and when i was there he starting talking about hes fight and about hes pro record thats 27-5-2-20. but one day i felt like searching hem up and i found hem and what i found out in boxrec was that he pro record was 3-12!!! but then i remembered that he told me he won a bronze medal at the 1976 olympics for puerto rico .. so i started searching and i found out that in that year there was only one medal won medal won witch was a bronze and in boxing but who won it wasnt hem but both first names are the same orlando but the last name are different but sound alike but are different so i dont know what to do???!! should i just confront hem?
