Boxing: Wladimir Klitschko (37th) birthday career questions?

A. Best Performance: It's a tough pick because most of his "Post Brewster" fights were dominant. I'm going to cheat a bit and pick two. The Calvin Brock fight was Wladimir at his best. He also looked great against Fast Eddie Chambers.

B. Worst Performance: I lean a bit towards the Corey Sanders fight. We could argue that the Lamon Brewster loss was equally devastating. Wladimir was expected to beat both. The debate for the Sanders fighter is that Corey didn't take boxing seriously and that Wladimir lost in front of his home crowd (Germany is as much home to Wlad as anywhere). The debate for the Brewster fight is that it came so soon after the Sanders loss and lead people to believe that Wladimir was through.

C. Greatest achievement: Nearly everything Wladimir did after the Brewster loss. Wladimir was considered finished. Most fighters would certainly not have rebounded after losses like those. Fighters who suffer big losses in such a short time, end up fighting for paydays or not at all. Wladimir went on to unify the division. Sure, his brother holds a piece of the title but Wladimir would have that belt too if not for the fact that it's his brother who holds it.

D. Most Remembered for: It depends on who you ask. I still can't get a bar full of 30 something males to tell me who the champ is. The response I usually get is "that Russian dude". OK. For boxing fans, I think Wladimir's legacy can be summed up in two words. "Class and Dominance".

E. How many years: I'd guess Wladimir could fight until he's in his early 40s if he wanted to. It's possible that no other heavyweight ever trained and lived with such discipline. Not ALI, Not Louis. Both were great by all definitions but neither lived by the strict rules that Wladimir lives by.

My guess is that Wladimir will fight for about two more years. He will retire soon after Vitali does. Such is the bond between the two brothers that I don't see Wladimir wanting to carry on much longer than Vitali does. Also, Wladimir has accomplished all that he wanted to. He certainly has nothing else to prove. It could be argued that his competition was weak but that's not his fault. No other champion, save for ALI, ever dominated his division as did Wladimir.

A) Against Ruslan Chagaev in 2009. That was the most brilliant display of technical and tactical boxing ever seen in a heavyweight fight. A flawless performance and his absolute peak as a fighter.

B) Against Corrie Sanders for obvious reasons.

C) Wladimir and Vitali, as brothers, wrote heavyweight boxing history with their accomplishments for the last decade, since the retirement of Lennox Lewis. Individually, Olympic gold medal and his 7 year and counting heavyweight title reign and total domination during that period are his greatest achievements.

D) Those who are real boxing fans and willing to acknowledge the obvious, will remember Wladimir the most for the blend of perfect technique, tactical discipline and incredible athleticism that he brings to the ring, I think.

E) Klitschko brothers signed a new, six fight deal with RTL a few months ago. Mariusz Wach was the first of those and, assuming Vitali doesn't fight again, which is very likely at this point, he has at least five matches left. So another 2 years at least.

A)VS David Haye:A masterclass performance against Haye..i had wlad winning all 12 rounds!

B)Vs Sanders: Sanders was an average fighter..yet he decimated wlad with utmost ease.

C)19 world title defences..a big achievement in the modern era.

D)bringing stability to the heavyweight division..something which wasnt there in the 90s,

E)possibly 2-3 years more.

A) David Haye

B) Lamont Brewster or Cory Sanders

C) Unifying 4 of the 5 belts

D) Having one of the worst runs of opponents of any heavyweight champion in history.

E) 3 or 4 years

A. Wlad's best was coming off the canvass to beat Samuel Peter.

B. His worst were the Pruitty, Sanders and Brewster KO losses

C. His greatest achievement was unifying the IBF, IBO, WBO & WBA belts and beating the former WBC title holder prior to Vitali getting that one.

D. Not much longer, father time is creeping up on him.

A) VS David Haye (because David is the only real worthy contender he's fought and schooled him)

B) VS Sanders (for obvious reasons)

C) 50 KO's in 59 Fights...amazing.

D) His domination, ability to bounce back from losses and humility outside the ring

E) 3 More years (during which he will defeat Fury, Price and Haye...Again)

A) vs Chris Byrd

B) vs Sanders!

C) 50 K.O.

D) vs Haye

E) 2 more.

EDIT: Didn't release that my answers were similar to guy above, sorry ;)

Beyond being an all time great his birthday is Tue day after mine.

A) Best performance?

B) Worst performance?

C) Greatest achievement?
