erm....you do know that dempsey is a heavyweight....mayweather a welter at best...mismatch..mayweather would probably suffer serious damage...dempsey trained by punching through doors and is considered one of the greatest heavyweights of all time.......he was light by todays heavyweight standards but still a heavyweight and def no welterweight.....mayweather won most of his fights by stealing rds through running and combinations...he has done well in terms of record and a few good names but he is overrated....his undefeated record is his usp without which he is not special.
Mayweather if he bulks up to at least middleweight for the fight. Fighters from Dempsey's era would not be competitive today.
even if you overlook the fact that Dempsey was a heavyweight, everyone will say Dempsey. Doesn't matter how good he was.
