Did adrien broner dominate & get so many stops at LW cuz he basically was a welterweight in lightweight class?

No, it's b/c he is a really good fighter and a really good finisher.

Broner's not really a welterweight, he could probably still make 135lb if he wanted to, and he could most definitely make 140lb.

Could be but he's a young chap who is still growing. But he is not similar to other lightweights who overstayed their welcome like Jose Luis Castillo and Brandon Rios and hence had to suffer some awful consequences like getting KTFO ( Castillo vs. Corrales 1) or struggling to win or eke out a draw ( Rios vs. Abril ). Broner like Roberto Duran and Shane Mosley before him did not wait for those to come and move up to the welterweight bypassing the junior welterweight.

Maybe, then again, you have to take note that Broner skipped a division to fight at 147 just like that. It's too early to say for sure. Perhaps he's not used to the weight yet.

Give him one more fight at 147 and we can be sure. If Broner fails to impress, then the result is obvious.
