Floyd Mayweather Jr. can't read? uneducated?

The thing I don't understand is 50's true motive for calling Floyd out. Even if he thinks Floyd disrespected him in some form or fashion, he should take the high road and draw the line in his choice of retaliation.

.

Reading 50's response to some of Floyd's comments, I don't think he's much more literate than Floyd. 50's career doesn't seem to be doing as well as it was. I wonder what he hopes to accomplish. I think both men are beginning to look foolish with this feud.

He might be dyslexic but he's definitely a dum-a$s regardless of his reading ability. There's a statistic that the average black adult male reads at an 8th grade reading level. But I don't see how he can hide behind that since Harry Potter is a book for 5th graders. It's not a race thing. He's just dumb. He called 50cent irrelevant but 50cent made more money in his business endeavors than he did rapping long after he became "irrelevant" in the music world. Mayweather might be making money now, but if history is any indication - stupid athletes always end up broke.

He can definitely read. How else can he be sure that the terms he usually dictates and printed in the finer lines of the contracts are there?

But kidding aside, how can one be uneducated when he can think of the terms and conditions he usually asked for in a championship fight as the Olympic style drug test, the onerous share in the fight purse and PPV earnings and other specifications that even the most learned pro boxers and their promoters and managers hardly thought about?

Floyd is virtually promoting himself and he does not even have a honoris causa degree in business administration!

I'd raher be accused as illiterate and uneducated who can only read the $ sign and figures after it.

Floyd Mayweather knows how to read ,he's just not a good reader.

Floyd's specialty is in the ring ,not reading ,and i bet he's more capable of becoming a good reader than his critics are of becoming a good boxer.

Floyd is smart enough to sign a check big enough to crush all of his detractor's......and the check won't bounce either. How smart do you have to be to replace Don King as boxing's, Ying to DeLa Hoya replacing Bob Arum as boxing's Yang? Floyd is about to do what no boxer before him ever did...his promotional company could very well make him a Billionaire. Trust me, if he want's to read Chinese, or Martian, he will have somebody teach him. Floyd was as educated as most American kids, so odds are he can read short simple sentences, like "How many zero's are there in a Million" or "How many millions do I have in the bank".

Today, many people that have graduated from out public school system are illiterate. Our school systems are failures.

Being illiterate is not necessarily an indication of intelligence. In fact, there have been successful businessmen that could not read above a third grade level.

In the case of Mayweather his fighting ability means he can be very successful and rich without being educated. I am sure there are other fighters who are not educated.

Floyd is for boxing. If he is really illiterate, it will just be a matter of time because he goes broke like other athletes. I don't expect him to excel in reading proficiency after I heard some of his interviews. He's lucky to have boxing and boxing is lucky to have him otherwise we won't be talking of him right now..

Just goes to show that you don't need much intelligence to be a fighter. I don't care how much money you have...it is downright sad when a third grader can out-read a professional multi-million dollar boxer.

Who the hell needs to read when you're rolling in mountains of cash?

He can count large sums of cash and apparently can read price tags and that's fine with him.

he dropped out but uneducated no,look at what he did he is making money, takes care of his kid.knows how to promote

And most "educated" people can't box, so I guess it evens out.

All he needs to know is how to count his money
