Everyone, whether they believe they can win or not wants a Mayweather pay day (except Broner). Can't blame Khan for not wanting to miss out on cashing in on the biggest payday of his life.
I think more people would buy Mayweather vs Khan, if Khan goes through Alexander first. Otherwise the only reason to buy it is to see Mayweather get a KO victory.
Sounds like Khan wanted a home run without earning his spot in the batting order. Am sure he would be struck out by Floyd in no time at all.

Recent news post are suggesting Amir Khan is backing out of a bout against IBF welterweight champ, Devon Alexander. He is apparently, attempting to guarantee himself a fight with Mayweather because if he loses, he's not in the sweepstakes for a fight. How pathetic is that? If the dude isn't confident in beating Alexander, how can he back himself up with all the talk of his speed beating Mayweather's. Sounds like his in it for the paycheck.
We all know Mayweather is best from 140 to 154. He has cleaned out the divisions in dominant fashion. And he has secured his legacy as one of the greatest. I understand he and Showtime want big money bouts. But at least can we have against someone more worthy. I would prefer a Canelo Albarez rematch in 2014, September with Danny Garcia for May. If Khan beat Alexander, we would all still expect Mayweather to win but at least Khan would back up his talk about having skill to beat Mayweather as he would have taken Alexander down.
