A remake of their fight. Scores of 116-112 for Mayweather. This fight would have even been better but lets not forget Cotto vs Mayweather at 140. Mayweather at that weight was still a monster and would most likely have scored a stoppage victory
Really close fight, That could of been a classic I think like a mini SRR vs Lamotta.., there would have to be at least 2 fights for sure, I think Floyd would of won but he would have taken a serious beating in doing so. Cotto's left hook to the body was nasty, and he was more offensive minded at 140, it was before his wars at 147.
I am with you. This fight would have been tough for Floyd. I see mixed cards of 116-112, 115-113, and 113-115 SD for Floyd. Floyd at this stage would have used his legs more and been evasive. Cotto would have pushed the action and been given credit for making the fight. Floyd's footwork, defense and counter punching would steal the day.
Mayweather by Majority decision.i think it would be some what closer than their 2012 meeting due to cotto being a little sharper/younger and mayweather being a little more offensive back then

Cotto was a different fighter back then. It would have been a very close fight. I'd call it a draw that could have gone either way
