How do Americans feel about Mayweather embarrassing your country and boxing with his cowardice?

I'm very embarassed that the best boxer on the planet is from the US.

I sometimes use a fake accent around other boxing fans b/c I'm so embarassed. Usually I pretend I'm from New Zealand.

Am not an American. Am a Filipino but I admire Mayweather as well as I do admire Manny Pacquiao and other Filipino fighters past and present. My all-time boxing idol is Muhammad Ali whom I must admit I loathed for most of his fighting years until he came over to the Philippines for the Thrilla in Manila in 1975 and won my and most Pinoys' hearts with his warmth wit and down-to-earth personality outside the ring and his superb boxing skills intelligence and courage inside the ring which he showed versus Joe Frazier another idol of mine.

I don't know what your nationality is Rich but calling someone a coward is the highest insult in my country. Therefore I am not one to call Floyd or any boxer for that matter a coward. Boxing is among the most dangerous sports.

I know for a fact that Manny Pacquiao also refused fighting Edwin Valero Humberto Soto ( who even kayoed his brother Bobby P to lure him ) and even earlier Shane Mosley who all personally challenged him to a fight but I don't call him a ducker because he had his reasons or there are reasons beyond him for those fights not happening then.

Floyd may also have his reasons for not wanting to fight Pacquiao. But cowardice is not or far from it. It could be a personal idiosncracy and I am granting him that.

If Floyd is a coward what do you call the fighters whom he has beaten? It's really griossly unfair..

P.S. If America is showing its embarassment by showering him with the almighty dollars in millions I'd like to be called a coward too Rich.

BTW do you really believe that fighting and beating Pacquiao is the end all and be all of his career?

I am Scottish but should America be proud of Tyson?

A convicted rapist who bit an opponents ear off?

Mayweather isn't a role model. Convicted wife beater who cares only about money.

But still, is Tyson the best representative for America? Really?

He brings much more shame than Mayweather.

And why does having Tupac back stage give him respectability more than Justin Bieber? Both are negatives I'd say. Only people who are involved in the training and cutmen etc. need be back stage. Not singers.

If you want to give an example of a fighter who is a good role model in an out of the ring, you could do far better than Tyson. Marciano for example. Or Joe Louis.

Lol. How does Floyd Mayweather represent America? Just because he's an American citizen doesn't make him a representative of our country. Who's Mayweather ducked? Pac man? I used to want this fight to happen, but now I could care less. Pacman isn't all that getting knocked out like he did. I don't like Mayweather he is cocky and annoying but he would beat Pacman.

Mannys biggest weakness is counter punchers. Floyd's biggest asset the best counter puncher in boxing. Only chance Manny has of winning is to catch him and knock him out. Floyd's to quick for Manny to do that. Goes to decision with Floyd winning.

Don't remind me man lol. But in all jokes aside. I think Mayweather is a great boxer just not on the scale everyone makes him out to be. When he fights Pac man i'll give him more credit.

He's a great boxer i really don't care what he does out of the ring

He embarrasses America with his false promises, abusing women, only caring about money, cherry picking, and more. He is an aszhole that tries to be humble, but fails. Great boxing skills and ring IQ, but terrible as a person outside the ring.

I don't know how anyone could be proud of someone who beats up women.

I remember when football player Liam Ridgewell took a photo of himself wiping his a*s with 20 pound notes and overnight became one of the most hated people in the country. The way Floyd flaunts his money and brags about it while millions of Americans struggle to make ends meet should not endear him to people, yet some people seem to think actions like these should be commended.

Mayweather makes me proud. He is a guy who wasn't rich and now is not only the best boxer in the world...but also the richest. It was evidence at the Mayweather / Maidana fight... As the crowd began to cheer USA... USA...

To be honest I don't give a crap about Mayweather and I don't generally see sports as America vs the rest of the world. Sports is just another form of entertainment not a war.

I am an American but 3 of my favorite sports are heavily dominated by non-Americans and I am referring to soccer, tennis and Formula 1. I am a huge fan of Rooney, Zlatan Ibrahimovi?, C. Ronaldo, Messi, Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, Sebastian Vettel and Fernado Alonso and if I am not mistaken none of them is an American.

My favorite boxers at the moment are non-Americans too: W. Klitschko, Marco Huck, Manny Pacquiao, Sergey Kovalev, Gennady Golovkin and Vasyl Lomachenko. In my top 5 of all time there are only Americans such as Rocky Marciano, Benny Leonard, Joe Frazier, Oscar De La Hoya and Harry Greb, so it all depends.

Five of my all time favorite MMA fighters are non-Americans as well: Fedor, Anderson Silva, GSP, Mirko Filipovi? and Shogun Rua. Of course I am a big fan of Americans such as Chuck Liddell, Rampage Jackson, Randy Couture, Dan Henderson, Chris Weidman etc. but when it comes to professional sports you like an individual or a team not their countries.

I am rooting for America at the Summer and Winter Olympics though because there every athlete and team are representing their country and not their pocket.

Mike Tyson took on all comers and had Tupac Shakur backstage supporting him at his fights. Mayweather ducks all the best opponents and has Justin Bieber supporting him.I'd be mightily embarrassed if I was an American.

Mike Tyson faced NO ONE of substance when he was going on his run ... he got KTFO by nobodies ... don't compare anyone to Tyson ... he was sham
