Laslo Papp, Jimmy Wilde, Max Schmeling, Benny Lynch, Ken Buchanan, Marcel Cerdan, Dulio Loi, the myth of Primo Carnera as a fraud was just that...he was decently skilled....Carpentier-I dunno....Jim Watt wasn't bad, neither was Henry "the bleeder" Cooper....Johansson was a heavywright champ...was Lennox a Canadian or Brit or Jamaican? Calzaghe is overrated by was talented...(slapping, however, is illegal in boxing) and the Klitschkos are just too big for most bums to beat....

Edit:
BQ: No i don't think Wlad is the best European boxer since Calzaghe, IMO i think Vitali is the best european fighter since Calzaghe.
The greatest native born European boxer;
P4P; Bob fitszimmons. He was the universally recognized world champion from middleweight to heavyweight & everything in between. No one in boxing history has been a universally recognized champion in all of these divisions, only American Henry Armstrong could equal this achievement. Sugar Ray Robinson ALMOST did [and no, Roy Jones did not, he fought for a paper championship belt in his adventure to heavyweight, he was NEVER the universally recognized champion in the heavyweight division].
Heavyweight; Lennox Lewis or Vladimir Klitchko. Both were almost universally recognized world Champions, Vladimir wasn't because of his brother having the other recognized belt. Both dominated an era of heavyweight boxing. Vladimir was more consistent but Lennox had rougher competition.
The greatest Europeanamerican boxers;
P4P; Harry Greb. He was probably the greatest swarmer of all time, he beat more hall of famers and former universally recognized world champions than Sugar Ray Robinson which is absurd. P4P Greb could match Henry Armstrong & Robinson but unfortunately there is no films of his fights, there's only films of him ''sparring'' [playing] with one of his old mentors.
Heavyweight; Rocky Marciano or Jim Jeffries. Both had the title for several years, Jeffries fought few times but had more successful defenses of the universally recognized heavyweight title than most greats, including Lennox Lewis. I believe Vladimir Klitchko can also be considered, he is underated, his competition is worse than even Marcianos but he has had an absurd amoung of title defenses.
I didn't mention Jack Dempsey because he didn't fight black fighters, unlike Klitchko, Marciano and believe it or not Jeffries.
do you guys seriously follow boxing..? i don't even know 1 name. btw, does tyson box still?
ed: ok i didn't expect a reply, but thank you for your educated response. i think yeah boxing is big in eastern europe. i normally can name a few people from a number of sports, but i was thinking wow i don't even know one boxer...it must not be as popular as most other mainstream sports, you know...
BQ: Is Wladimir the best European boxer post Calzaghe's retirement? If no, then who?
