Pacquiao set to face winner of Alvarado vs Marquez?

No, it's not. Those fights are stale now, I draw the line after a trilogy of fights but five? No no no, I'd rather see Pac v Porter. No one wants to see Pac v Mayweather anymore either, Pac's past it now the opportunity has gone.

Let us see how far TR and GBP could go in staging the projected Pacquiao-Alvarez co-promotion fight. If it turns out to be another charade, let us just accept the fact that Manny would be consigned to fighting old nemeses as JMM and Bradley or other TR stalwarts as Alvarado and Provodnikov. Top Rank's roster of fighters at 140-147 lbs. is so shallow that Arum is left no option but to do rehashes.

The fight that intrigues me most would be against Provodnikov.

Early in his career Manny met an obscure Russian named Serikhan Yezmagabetov and he had to climb from a fourth round knockdown to stop Serikhan in the fifth.

If what some wags are saying here that the Russians and East Europeans and former Soviets are taking over pro boxing is true, I would like to see it with no less than Provodnikov joining the assault ( with GGG and Kovalev ) against Pacquiao who is one of the best fighters in the world for years now.

Only Bob Arum want the fifth encounter between Pacquiao and Marquez. Marquez doesn't want it and so does a lot of people. I am sure Alvarado want it if he won against JMM since it will be a big payday and a big opportunity for him and of course, Pacquiao is acting as and when Bob wanted him to act. TR will get "punish" if they pursue this match up. TR might wake up and listen to the magnitude of fans and put Pacquiao with some credible fighter. Provo is a possibility and maybe Floyd might decide that now is the time for him to fight Manny. Don't forget that Floyd was signed with Showtime to fight for them for $270M. That would be a lot of money and it's impossible for them to break even on just one fight when Floyd and Canelo fought. Guerrero/Floyd is a bust with only 870,000 on the PPV and what match up can produce the desirable number if not Manny vs. Floyd or Floyd vs GGG. No one on the rank of welter can make a good number except Manny Pacquiao. A rematch between Canelo vs. Floyd will not produce the same number when they fought after those who watch witness how a drained Canelo performed. Keith Thurman doesn't have it yet at present and a match up against him is not a guarantee of success on PPV.

Write JMM off since he doesn't want it and Alvarado doesn't have what it takes to help on the PPV. He might just be like Bradley who with undefeated record can not help to draw fans. Provo is more likely that any of them unless Floyd decides against his will that now is the time. Words saying Manny Pacquiao doesn't have it anymore to be the opponent of Floyd Mayweather Jr. were words with no substance and didn't watch the last two fight of Manny Pacquiao and like Floyd, they don't want the fight to happen either.

Pacquiao vs Alvarado doesn't interest me even though it would be new blood. Mayweather vs Pacquiao is the obvious one but that won't happen so I would prefer to see Pacquiao vs Marquez 5. Everyone says they are tired of seeing it which I can understand but they always seem to produce classics, when the 4th fight was announced people said they have had enough but by the time it was fight week everyone was buzzing in anticipation plus it was arguably the best fight that they had.

That's the plan, I think, unless the Floyd fight is miraculously made.

obviously, only bob wants this fight for pac...

pac said on philippine tv hes more focused now on his boxing career and we all know its bad news for arum...

jmm at 41 and still rejecting the rematch gives pac no drive to pursue it further... the guy is 41 come on!

alvarado beating a 41 yr old jmm wont be a ticket either for the pac fight

provodnikov is the best fight forr pac right now, money and career wise

This fight needs to happen, for Pacquiao to feel mantally better, after losing his head to Marquez. Only revenge can erase that traumatizing loss.

Pac wanted Floyd next. Too bad Floyd still looking for his balls somewhere.

Yes

Pac Marquez 5 would be aight with me.

Are these the fights the people want to see?

Pacquiao vs Alvarado or Pacquiao vs Marquez 5?

That's who he's fighting, look it up.

This should be his last fight with Bob Arum, hopefully he goes on to fight better fights with Golden Boy.

Provodkinov vs Rios would be interesting

EVERYONEWANTS FLOYD BUT FLOYD IS A CHICKEM, CHGO NOT PODSSIBLE
