I find it hilarious how stupid some of these comments are in this thread. Boxing is a global sport now. We will never know how the greats of old would have done if they would have had to fight the eastern euros.
Heavyweight: Klitschkos rule... No question
Cruiserweight: Huck leads the pack because the better guys (Adamek, Cunningham, and Haye) went north to Heavyweight. All those guys beat Hick.
Light Heavyweight: Last I checked this week division has a lineal champion named Adonis Stevenson. Exposing Clev means little. You have to beat the best to be the best. Clev was never the best. Stevenson and Hopkins are.
Super Middle: Ward. Ward. Ward USA USA USA
Middle: Golovkin has beaten no one. Just like Kovalev, he need to beat the best...that would be Sergio Martinez. He hasn't even beaten Quillin...who is just as good.
I guess you have a point. The sheer size and talent pool of Eastern Europe will enable it to impact on pro boxing in the near future. The domination of Eastern European including EurAsian boxers in the amateurs and the Olympics inevitably points to that especially in the weight divisions you mentioned. We are not even talking of the possibility of China joining the fray! The West, with the sole exception of Latinos, has been weak in the lower weight classes, from the minimum weights up to the junior lightweights where Asians, notably Filipinos, Japanese and Thais historically excel. The Americans now seem to dominate or be competitive only in the lightweights, welterweights, the middleweights up to the light heavyweights and cruisers.
But I say, bring them East Europeans on! Pro boxing especially the fans will profit from the improved competition.
Please be careful with the stats you have been insisting on. If that's true, how come we only knew about Kostya Tyszu and the Klitschkos ? Where are the rest of your so-called dominant world champions in PRO boxing?
Heavyweight and cruiserweight - two of the weakest heavier weight classes, well done for that. Funny how you consider Germany Eastern Europe, I would call it Central Europe and anything beyond Poland is the sh!thole you call home (if you're not busy smuggling yourself underneath a bus trying to get out of it). So with that in mind, you don't dominate cruiserweight.
Light heavyweight - I think you're forgetting Bhop, Dawson and Stevenson.
Super middleweight - you said it yourself, you Eastern Europeans haven't "invaded" it yet, do you mean in invaded in the way you all scattered from your homeland to Western Europe when the EU was started or more like the way Russia invaded you?
Middleweight - Golovkin is the sh!t, but don't try to take credit for him because he's of Kazakh - Korean decent, two countries in Asia.
Haha Americans have dominated boxing forever , shut up with your Eastern Europe bullshitt
Few bumss winning and your getting too excited
Andre Ward will school Golovkin and Kovalev
And Mike Tyson would have put your Bitchko Sisters to sleep
EDIT - Can you name me a Eastern European better then Muhammad Ali, Harry Greb, Sugar Ray Robinson, Marvin Hagler, Henry Armstrong ??
Golovkin is Asian
Plenty of self loathing whites on these sites supporting black racist boxers like Hopkins. He;s an old fraud who was dominated by Joe Calzaghe. Looks like the racist lost to a whiteboy! Lol you black pigs cant stand the fact that whites still control you.
"Super middle shockingly E.Euros have not invaded it yet"
WHAT?????
How can you forget your comrad Stieglitz? He's clearly the best SMW fighter of the world!!! amiright?
Did you just post the same edit twice.... Having trouble using a laptop now?
These "mediocre bums" with the rich amateur career (which means nothing for the pros if your name is not Rigo or Ward hahaha) seem to be very dominant in the pros too. In less than 20 years they have 68 (adding Kovalev) world champs and 110 major titles. Damn you Mikhail Gorbachev for banning communism. If there was still communism "American brothers" would still be the best and 5'10, 215 lbs clowns like Mike Tyson would still be the "baddest" on the planet. ha ha. I have so much fun right now!
Heavyweight not even a question or debate!
Cruseirweight is filled with Euros and the boss is Huck
Light heavyweight I think we all got our answers tonight!
Super middle shockingly E.Euros have not invaded it yet
Middleweight has a "mediocre" dude called Golovkin.
And hold your breath cause the prototype of the new generation of E.Euros comes now.....Vasyl Lomachenko!
Damn, I guess the NBA gets the "shorter" dudes too now ;)
