Krav Maga, Karate, and Jujitsu.

I've been involved in boxing for over 50 years, but after retirement from Ma Bell, I worked as a court security officer. We were trained by Federal Marshalls.

They utilized pressure point tactics and believe me, it's really effective. Also, if you ever get a chance o get a video on Amazon.com of Steven Segal's style restraint. I'd recommend both of those.

Boxing, Muay Thai, mma, Krav Maga

They all will probably be over priced. I would study them all on your own. No style is better, then another, its on the individual, and everyone takes from other styles. Bruce Lee said it best. Pistol Marksmanship.

I'm not asking for ONE, single best martial art. I am asking for a list of top martial arts for self-defense on the streets. Please name some from personal experience and observations. Share any personal stories or advice if you may. How about BJJ vs Kenpo?

Additional question: how do I know when I found a good martial arts school?

How much do you pay monthly for your art and what art do you practice?
