Pacquiao at this point, needs to look beyond his boxing career and start making investments on his retirement. So it doesn't matter if he takes Top Rank again or start his own promotions. Frankly, I don't think he has the managerial accumen to manage his own company. He does not show a good ability to choose advisers. He could not seem to tell the difference between friends and leaches.
He should start investing in capital that works for him, like real estate (not as volatile in the Philippines, as in the states). Maybe lease them out. Don't be too ambitious. Try to find easy investments where there is no work involved. Maybe I'll send him a copy of Rich Dad Poor Dad.
I would advise him to go the way of Cotto and be a free lancer so he could get the best of both worlds (Top Rank and Golden Boy) as far as fight purses and/or PPV shares depending on the offers. About time, MP Promotions to really go global with Manny still d around to give Filipino fighters the needed exposure and boost without tying them to Arum or Oscar.
At this late stage of his career, he needs to break ranks with Top Rank and get the big pay day with Mayweather...

Me personally, I'll tell him not to extend his contract with Top Rank and just work from his own promotion company. He can then work with any promotion company he wants one fight at a time. I'd recommend working with GBP because they will give him more money per fight than TR. I'd tell him that if he extends his contract with Top Rank that I would stop working for him because I don't associate myself with cowards.
