Why's Berto get so much "Hater-aid," Am I his only fan?

I can't hate on Berto, but if he's getting knocked out at 147, 154 will not be the answer. Not sure what the answer is. He tried Floyd's defense vs Guerrero, that did not work for him. He tried Ward's trainer vs Soto Karrass, that did not work for him. He needs to discover his own identity, perfect that and do what HE does. I thought the Ortiz and Guerrero fights were worthy of Fight if the Year discussion. The Soto Karass fight was tainted by injury. He needs to take a step backward. Fight on ESPN again a lower grade fight... Build a style and relationship with one trainer...then take on Shane Mosley or Devon Alexander. I wish him the best. To me, he's like Jeff Lacy, he stepped up and was found wanting. The question is...what does he do now?

I agree with Ortiz.

Guerrero has always fought like that. It's his fault for not coming prepared for a street fight. he lost because he was not properly prepared, period. He should have trained his counters and the clinch battle instead of that failed shoulder-roll imitation. If Berto would have trained for a street fight instead of a boxing match, he would have definitely won. Berto is a tough guy, he just lacked the strategy.

I think Soto Karass was damaging him bad. The one arm thing is not that impressive considering that Arturo Gatti broke his hands practically every time he fought and Mayweather gets his hands inflated most of the time, just to mention a few. One hand fighting is impressive, no doubt, but many boxers have done it.

I'm not a Berto hater, I'm just realistic, I HATE to admit it, seriously, I do. I remember being a huge Berto fan and was really motivated when his suspension was over but, I have to admit with all the pain in my heart that after PED's incident, he has not been the same. Coincidence? Maybe, maybe not... Whatever happened, it's clear that Berto ain't going nowhere at this point.

IMO, Berto should take 3-4 tune-up fights, rematch Guerrero or Soto Karrass and hope for the best :/

Just my opinion. I was a huge fan, I still am, but I am realistic. Berto is done. His only chance is a complete reconstruction starting with tune-up fights and slowly moving up again.

Andre Berto is in his prime so he's not a shot fighter but he is at a plateau in his career.

I would like to see how Andre Berto would do at 154 against Miguel Cotto and Berto should be able to handle the move up in weight considering he walks around at 180 between fights.

No he's a fraud roid using al haymon hype job.

.

Sure, he's had a bad couple of fights. But, they were all kinda weird too though. That fight with Ortiz was AWESOME, and could've gone either way. Unfortunately for Berto, Ortiz showed up that night possessed by the sprit of Chavez Sr., or something, and then that Ortiz never resurfaced ever gain. It was like really strange.

Then, there was The Ghost Guerrero! That fight SUCKED! And, the ONLY reason Guerrero won was because that referee was not doing his job! Guerrero was constantly clinching, and dirty boxing all night long. He smothered Berto non-stop, in a very boring, circus match. Anytime, Guerrero was forced to stand, and fight Berto smashed him. Whatever, it was another weird fight.

Then, Soto Karass, BERTO FOUGHT WITH ONE FREAKING ARM!!! I dare you to fight ANYBODY with ONE ARM, see how LONG you last!!! I was in awe! I became a Berto fan that night! This guy almost won the fight with ONE ARM! What a feat of courage!!! I couldn't believe it!!! The guy showed heart of a Lion!!! He was dealing damage, and winning rounds with ONE ARM!!! That was amazing! Victor Ortiz would've quit in a second!

But, all ANYBODY... EVER has to say about Berto is that he sucks! Why all the Hater-Aid??? That guy's got tremendous heart! And, he's also got crazy speed and power!!!

I'm not saying he the best fighter around, or anything, but he's still got a lot of potential!

Why all the Haters?!?!?!
