Will HBO Boxing be a thing of the past with the way all fighters are going to Showtime?

It will be kind of hard for Showtime to kill that monster.

1. HBO is in 8-10 million more homes than Showtime. That's a big revenue gap that Showtime simply can't compete with unless National Amusements (AKA Sumner Redstone) will accept CBS Corp. taking substantial losses from the Sho. property in an attempt to overtake HBO.

2. Boxing is a niche sport right now and doesn't drive subscribers. Lets face it, Showtime hasn't done much since the Super Dave Osborn show and the Gary Shandling show when it comes to beating HBO at original programming, which ultimately drives subscribers.

No.

HBO will eventually stop being morons and get Golden Boy back on it's network.

Golden Boy has a deep, deep roster. HBO can't afford to keep them off it's network, and expect TR to fill out all of their cards.

If HBO doesn't come to their senses, then Showtime is going to takeover for sure. Right now Showtime is the spot, and up until now they were always second place.

Nope, HBO Boxing will be here for many more years to come.

Not quite sure if it would be a thing of the past any time soon. However it is at a very low point

No, but it sure lost a lot of it's luster didn't it.
