Why do boxing fans think pacquiao is better than mayweather?

Pac drained all his opponents and Mayweather would school Pac. It'd be like Marquez vs Mayweather except Pac wouldn't get any hits.

You will never know who's is better fighter till they actually fight. People think Pacquio has a good chance because of his speed and power and the amount of punches he throws per round. And well floyd is always defence first and never chang es his style.

okay..am glad I finally get to chime in on this one. on paper, mayweather is unbeatable and should win in a matchup w/pacquiao....however, boxing is always about styles. after frazier, and norton, beat ali, then foreman beat frazier, and norton, ridiculously easily, no one thought ali had a chance against foreman and he so thoroughly dominated him it was even more ridiculous. pacquiao is almost as fast, if not equally as fast, as mayweather. add to that the fact he hits harder than mayweather and comes from different angles and you can understand why mayweather doesn't really want any part of a fighter like pacquiao...it'd be all wrong for him and he really would be wise not to risk his unbeaten record against pac-man's x-factor. added to this is the fact that, as ortiz, and mosley, and cotto have proved...mayweather can be tagged and tagged flush. to his credit he can compensate quickly but, once pacman smells may-blood, he'd likely be even more relentless, way moreso than any of those other fighters and keep pursuing mayweather. mayweather is older than manny and so he knows he can't keep this up forever..best thing for him to do is face a slower, more easily hittable pacquiao, otherwise the fight may not go like he wants it to. so, the thing is it's not that pacquiao WILL beat mayeather, so much as that manny CAN beat mayweather and, once a fighter has that doubt in his head, like I believe mayweather does, why risk it? manny's already agreed to all of mayweather's terms, including money and drug testing, so there's no more legitimate reasons for mayweather to not take him on. he has the position now to make the fight, on his terms...I love many but he really hasn't been the same after the margarita fight. I think that's because of the weight loss. roy jones was never the same and fighting at lower weights never really worked out for cotto or de la hoya, either. i think this has affected pac-man, unfortunately, that and his kinder/gentler boxing style now. i wouldn't say he's lost his killer instinct - he sure went after marquez after the first knock down then knocked him down and was seemingly getting the upper hand until he ran into that haymaker of marquez. but, manny just loves to fight, I love that moment when he's figured out his opponent can't hurt him and he taps his glove together as if to say, "come on, let's go for it". anyways, if this fight ever comes off it'll probably at the very end of mayweather's run...he's been waiting for pac-man to run down a little more then probably figures to take him out, but many might still have just enough to take away that "0" and so we may never see it. truth be told this fight should've taken place 2-3 years ago or more. if mayweather wants to be considered great, he has to take on the best fighters and beat them in their primes or at their peaks...not wait them out like he has done these past few years...that's how Louis, Ali, Robinson, and Leonard did it, and they beat the absolute BEST out there. mayweather's great, but he'll never be one of the greats because, like roy jones, he has no really great competition against which to be measured, except pacquiao..and even he is not what he was 2-3 years ago, unfortunately. make sense?

People mistake entertainment for skill. They see his hand speed, his aggression, his power, and they see him punish his opponents and believe he is better than Mayweather.

The only thing that matters when seeing who is better is skill. Pacquiao is a one dimensional fight who can't fight going backwards, struggles with counter punchers, and cannot fight someone who moves around a lot. He leaves himself open to be hit every time and he got knocked out for that. He gets frustrated easily. He cannot adjust to anything, he simply just throws more punches.

no, anyone who thinks pac is better than floyd is a fu
the thing between floyd and pac is who ducks who...

and the whole boxing world believes floyd's been ducking pac

who loses big if the megafight never happens? floyd,

comprende?

Those boxing fans are Pactards.

everyone thinks that because he fought the same opponents as floyd. when floyd fought oscar everyone was saying he was too old, but when manny fought him, there were no excuses, even though oscar was older, and at a catch-weight? he also fought cotto at catch-weight when we all know 146 or something like that wasn't cottos weight and de la hoya wasn't used to that weight either. i think if they fought at 147 mayweather would dominate pacquiao counter punching him all night. Pacquiao would land like at 19% since he throws a lot, but may's defense is extraordinary! ( and what do you think of the catch-wieght with canelo? yeah he judged manny, but canals camp asked for it and canelo can rehydrate still over to about 18 pounds more than floyd? so why are there already so many excuses? .-.
