BOXING: Floyd admits to media his entire career was with handpicked fighters. Opinions on...?

Lol, All I know is this shouldn't come as a surprise. Floyd has been hand picking fights for years.

Q1: Pacquiao would have put a whooping on Floyd from any point of 2006-2011

Q2: A 35 Year old Oscar De La Hoya pretty much defeated Mayweather, a prime 25 year old Oscar would have beaten Floyd with no problems.

Q3: Sugar Ray would have won the fight with ease.

Q4: He Ducked 2008's version of Miguel Cotto. Cotto I feel would have won the fight. By 2012 when he and Floyd fought, Cotto was already shop worn.

I also would love to have seen my guy The Prince Naseem Hamed get a crack at gayweather's chin. The prince would have won that fight by Knock out.

Yeah he did admit to it. Here's a link to an article.

Q 1: I still think Floyd would have beaten Manny. Manny has problems with counter punchers and Floyd is the best CP in the business.

Q 2: Would have been a very good fight. Floyd was more aggressive back then but Oscar was bigger and probably would have beat Floyd by a razor thin decision by keeping him more on the defensive.

Q 3: Leonard stops Floyd in 12. Too big, too strong, too fast, too smart, and he would have broken thru Floyd's defense and eventually got to him just like he did with Wilfred Benitez.

Q 4: Floyd vs Kostya Tszyu would have been VERY interesting. Floyd probably wins though by close UD.

Handpicked is not necessarily a derisive or negative term. Handpicked foes therefore do not mean they are flunkies. Ali handpicked many of his opponents for example and they included the likes of Liston, Frazier, Norton, Foreman, Lyle, Young and Holmes.

Where is your sense of time in most of your questions?

Q1---I think it would have been a pretty even match that could go either way. Floyd was coming back from two years retirement so I think Manny could have edged that one out by decision.

Q2---In 1997 prime ODLH was welterweight champion fighting the likes of Chavez, Whitaker, Quartey and Floyd was still establishing himself in the junior lightweight. Duh?

Q3----The two are about two generations apart. Theoretically though I think Leonard would have won a hard earned majority decision.

Q4---Prime Joel Casamayor at 130 or 135 lbs. I think Floyd would have beaten him on points.

I'll answer just 1 and 4

1)PAC at his prime was very hard to deal with cause he used his feet and mobility for defense, combined with speed and punching power made him who he was.

But I say Floyd beats him, cause PAC is only one handed and can't punch with his right, against a defensive wizard like Floyd, u need a 2 fisted attack.

4)there are many that I wish Floyd wouldve fought when he had the chance, prime Cotto and Mosley, Casamayor, Spadafora, Hamed, Freitas and maybe Winky Wright cause they were serious negotiations for that fight

1. I think pac would have a great chance to beat him 09 but its hard to say.

2. oscar almost beat Floyd so he'd knock him out.

3.Leonard of course

4. Pernell Whitaker

link?

I knew it...lol

no surprise

Fans,

Because Floyd admitted it and because the dude is 36 years old about to retire:

Q 1. What if Floyd never once whined about tests in 2009 and he DID FACE Manny Pacquiao! Who wins in '09: Pacquiao vs. Mayweather?

Q 2. What if Floyd faced a PRIME Oscar De La Hoya in 1997, not 10 years later in 2007: Who wins in '97: De La Hoya vs. Mayweather?

Q 3. What if a PRIME Sugar Ray Leonard faced a PRIME Floyd 'Xylocaine Hands' Mayweather in a 15 round bout at Madison Sq. Garden: Who wins?

Q 4. NAME ANOTHER FIGHTER Floyd missed when he was in his prime that you wished Floyd 'Xylocaine Hands' Mayweather HAD fought: who wins?
