i feel he will be inside the top 5 within a year.a martinez win will see him take a leap in the rankings just like rigo when he beat donaire.wether he will ever make the no:1 spot is a tough call though.with the likes of mikey garcia, rigondeux, ward, mayweather, donaire ect doing their thing, golovkin has all the class in the world to compete with.it definatly seems like a possibillity at the minute and i wouldn't be suprised if ggg becomes the new face of boxing

What does that matter when its a bogus rating system to begin with? One only has to look at Ring's current p4p ranking to observe that. If he becomes popular within the boxing fanbase he'll crack the top 5 and he'll become #1 if he gets any penetration in mainstream sporting America.

Does anyone believe JMM is the 3rd best fighter in the world? How about Tim Bradley being the 9th best? How about Canelo struggling in a fight that could have easily been called a draw or victory for Trout outside of the dark shadow of Dickie Cole?

It's Impossible to say. Right now he's certainly looking like the real deal and has undeniable KO power that's enough to knock out anyone he faces. Look what he did to bute in the smatuers and what he's been doing to everyone in the pros.

He needs to fight the big names now so we can see where he's at and what he's capable of. He could be the next superstar or he could be the next David Lemieux.

I think he will definitely be in the top 10, possibly top 5, but I don't see him becoming #1.

B

But A could be attainable with more publicity
