This is a tough fight for Pacquiao. Rios is bigger, younger and knows how to be physical in the ring. Sure he has no defense, doesn't use lateral movement but it wouldn't matter if you can't hurt him, and Pacquiao doesn't exactly have the boxing repetoire of a Floyd Mayweather Jr. I do like the prospect of this event being held in Macau, I wish there were more ppv outside of the USA, it would help boxing a whole lot.
It is a winnable fight for Pacquiao but there are things that Rios does better than Margarito.

This is a cross roads fight, this ain't about no title or what not. You know, At least I get to see Manny fight, while I have to wait a year or two for Floyd to fight.which is bullshit
With the exception of Floyd and Manny, the top, elite fighters have fought each other while they were all in the same classes. There really isn't anyone else who can challenge him and Rios certainly isn't a top tier fighter. He is a step down from what Manny usually fights, I think he's on the same level as David Diaz when Manny fought him, maybe a bit better. In Bam2x we have a very exciting fighter who can provide crowds with the type of exitement we are used to in seeing a Manny Pacquiao fight. He'll eat shots, come forward and smile at manny as he gets destroyed. He gets paid, Manny gets to look good again, it's a win win for everyone.
Terrible. Pac's camp is even admitting they chose Rios because he's basically easy to hit. On top of that he never fought at welterweight and is coming off two straight losses. The people who like this match up aren't "BOXING" fans. In fact I'm willing to bet they don't know much about boxing at all and are more likely people who just like violence.
This will be a WAR! Rios comes right at you and Manny can still fight despite what happened against Marquez. I love this fight as a boxing fan! If you like action, then this is your fight!

Rios has a solid chin and is taller and bigger than Pacquiao. Pac just proved time and time again he doesn't need to pick on easy fights to get back on track. Rios is a tough job to anybody. He likes being smacked on the face,.
Should be a fan friendly fight. Big for both men, Pacquiao and Rios coming off a loss. Pacquiao got KO'ed and Rios experience his first loss. Can't wait cause i know both guys love to bang on toe-to-toe.
It won't be a boring fight, that's for sure.

Although I think Pacquiao is certainly past it, I still think Pacquiao may at least last the fight with a close decision and at least this fight is much more interesting and better than another pointless Marquez rematch. What makes this fight even better that that they're finally headlining a PPV event during this modern era of boxing at another country which is in Macau, SAR. I have no idea or can recall the last time a PPV boxing event was ever headlined outside of the US or even outside of Las Vegas.
