Can anybody here explain how floyd's latest fight exciting?

As a boxing fan I didn't find it exciting much because it was so one sided. I loved watching Mayweather put on a boxing clinic but for it to be an exciting fight, the opponent has to do something and Canelo didn't. It wasn't Mayweather's fault either. It's Canelo's job to hit Floyd not Floyd's job to get hit. He is just too good though so not credit taken from Canelo.

I'm interested and excited to see the master defensive tactician and boxer display his craft against a young strong up and coming star boxer!

I'm curious to see whether age has caught up with Floyd yet and whether fighting twice in a year (which has hasn't done for a long time) will affect him, and whether moving up in weight and fighting a naturally heavier opponent will be a tougher challenge. Subtlety and nuance is what peaks my interest.

Of course I understand if you would prefer to watch a demolition derby or some dumb slug fest! But I find those kinds of displays contrived, insipid and boring in the same way that I find loud explosions, loud noises, and fireworks boring (been there done that... was interested in that **** when I was a kid but things change when you grow up).

two types of fans out there, those that looks for "style" and those that looks for "power"...

me for one loves both cuz for me...sometimes "style makes fights", sometimes "power dictates fights"....

canelo was expected to atleast display power against floyd, power that could somehow make an upset...but that night, there was none, i sensed none, not even an ounce of it, in fact floyd surprisingly begun engaging on the 1st round, floyd dictating the fight on the 1st round was of course unusual since floyd is always known to "test the waters" on the first 2 rounds... floyd will not lunge-in that easy unless he's sure, that canelo has no power that night... in fact canelo was so drained (how thin was he on the weigh-in?) he has no choice but to conserve energy just to make sure he remain standing upto the 12th... and floyd, man all i see was his speed trying to exhaust canelo a.s.a.p. cuz he promised to knock canelo down (but he failed cuz he got no KO power)... naive newbee fight fans are easily lured-in to the notion that floyd's style made the fight that night... specially those who prefers style over power... but actually it was power who dictated that fight, from round 1 to 12, a drained powerless canelo was of course g0t overpowered by floyd's ... canelo aint winning a single round is proof enuf

This question is based on ingorance, people have difference opinions on what they think is exiting.Me, I actually like the fight and thought it was extremely exciting, this is like saying saying what do you like better rap or rock, cause rock is all just guitars and pianos and instrumental so I don't like it. Just because you think something is boring does not mean you can disrespect other people who actually thought it was fun.

People who say that they were "excited" by the action (or lack of) at the Mayweather-Canelo fight are either desperately trying to portray themselves as boxing connoisseurs or are the same people who get excited watching paint dry. Yea, Floyd displayed how great of a defensive and tactical fighter he is like he always does, but how was that fight anywhere near "exciting". It was methodical and pretty pedestrian. Floyd was never in trouble and Canelo didn't do ****. How was that exciting? I wasn't bored either, and I was impressed how Floyd outclassed lil Blake Griffin, but you can get outta here about getting excited by that ****..
