Floyd Mayweather vs Roy Jones resume?

Posted at: 2015-04-20
Forget about whos more technical or more skilled, who do u think had the better resume in there run?

BQ) where does Pacquio's resume fare in the conversation?

Mayweather had the better resume for sure, Roy made it out of the nineties without fighting Benn, Eubank, Collins, Calzaghe and Michalczewski

And he still had the cheek to call himself the best p4p.

I'd have to go for Roy Jones Jr

In his prime, the only boxers world class, prime boxers Roy Jones fought were Malinga, Toney, González, Hill and Tarver.

The world class, prime boxers Mayweather has fought are Corrales, Castillo, Hatton, and maybe Judah if I'm generous.

On top of that they have both fought around the same amount of green or over the hill name boxers.

BQ) Pacquiao's resume is so much better than either of these two.

Just reading your comments to other users, I totally agree that Roy Jones ducked Michalczewski. He also ducked Steve Collins for years.

I would rank Jones above both Pacman and Mayweather but Jones tested positive for roids so he's a cheater and this hurts his legacy.

Roy Jones had titles from middleweight all the way up to heavyweight, only Bob Fitzimmons ever did this [except Bob was undisputed in all of those divisions].

Roy Jones was undisputed lightheavyweight champion, Mayweather and Pacquiao have never been undisputed champions in any division [you must simultaneously hold the WBO, IFB, WBC & WBA in 1 division to be undisputed].

With that said; he cheated so his legacy is stained. Mayweather and Pacman are greater because of this [though Pacman is fishy].

I presume you are AWARE that Floyd cheats daily and regularly with Xylocaine. It is scientifically proven to NUMB the joints in both the wrists, bones, ligaments, and tendons of the hand. May'be'weather uses this before EVERY bout because the Nevada do-nothings allow him.

It (Xylocaine) allows a person to punch their fists against another with impunity essentially 'FEELING' nothing!

No other boxer uses Xylocaine that we are aware of at this level, except for Floyd.

BACK TO ANSWER:

Jones has the superior resume for ONE simple fact:

Roy has never dodged an opponent for a myriad reasons like Floyd has done throughout his entire career. Meanwhile Roy Jones in his prime was a BEAST that whipped VICIOUS hooks and crosses across the best jawlines in his day!

For 10+ years Floyd has talked-his-way-OUT-of-fights with guys in their prime! NOT SUGAR RAY LEONARD! Sugar on the other hand has a better resume than Roy Jones but a far, far, far superior resume over Floyd.

Floyd May'be'weather on the other hand is a victim of narcissism, falling in love with his image, money, and xylocaine.

Thought you should add that to your question above, after you pointed out Roy Jones' PED use. (best to be thorough).

source: I do NOT believe the false hype that is Floyd May'be'weather

It's a dead heat between Roy's wins of McCallum Toney and Hopkins and Pacquiao's wins over Barrera x2, Morales x2 and Cotto in my opinion. Great great wins that will stand the test of time. Floyd doesn't have any great wins really.

Roy.

Neither, it's just a personal opinion.
