Is this conclusive proof, look at the adrenaline precision and movement, on top of his undefeated record it's an open and shut case.

It's always a slippery slope when you want to make the claim that any single athlete is the best that's ever done it, especially in boxing. Any knowledgeable fight fan or boxing expert will tell you that Floyd is easily ONE of the greatest of all time. Atlas, Lampley, Merchant and more have stated that he's the single most "gifted" fighter they've ever seen.

"Very, very few have been more talented than this kid. He's going to win a whole lot of championships. I think he'll go on to be the best ever". - Emanuel Stewart.

"We believe in our heart of hearts that Floyd Mayweather is the successor in a line that starts with Ray Robinson, goes to Muhammad Ali, then Sugar Ray Leonard". - Bob Arum

"I don't know if I can say he's the best I ever saw, and I don't know if I can say he isn't. I can say he's the smartest man to ever get inside a ring." - Teddy Atlas

These men have been involved with legends of the sport and their opinions (particularly Atlas and the late Stewart) regarding boxing are generally held as gold.

I don't think you can call him the greatest ever. Based on his resume it's not justified. But could Floyd get in the ring with the guys typically regarded as the greatest (Robinson, Leonard, Ali -- in a P4P sense) and have a very real shot at winning? Aboslutely and anyone who tells you otherwise has their own agenda.

Muhammad Ali is the greatest, Floyd Mayweather and his cherries can go be picked up by the city dump and be recycled. Then they can dress up like Tyson's opponents and go trick or treating. .Floyd can never be as great as Ali, the best opponent he had was Larry Merchant and he was over 50,like Floyd likes to fight them. His undefeated record does not reflect his battle with his spouse and his children, including the security guard. He has no class and Ali did. Ali did not act like a cheap thug, making obscene gestures at some other fighters wife, to make up for anatomical shortcomings, as well as biological.

I would put him in the top 50 some where I have not sat down and made a list lon ger that top 10 which he is no where to be found. He is a great fighter but there were a lot of fighters better than him. If Andre Ward could make weight he would knock Floyf out so where does that put Warsd.

No. No cherry picker should be in the top 20 even.

He has ducked too many fighters in their prime. He is a great fighter, don't get me wrong, but he is far from the greatest.

Watch Ali vs Liston 1. That will tell you who the greatest of all time is. A kid dancing around the most feared boxer in the world.

Mayweather is great but not the greatest of all time.

Mayweather didn't invent precision and movement.

Beating the highest quality of opposition counts for more than maintaining a "0".

Floyd definitely lived up to the nick name "Money", but as far as skill level and level of competition, Floyd might crack the top 100 when all is said and done, but he is no where near the greatest of all time.

Good fighter, but I think that greatest of all time title belongs to one man, Ali :D
