How do you fight someone with phenomenal speed and head movement?

In the boxing match the most problem is when you don't know what your opponents will do next. in your case you know his every moves yet find no solution. there is always basic things to learn in what ever you study. It seems that you know nothing about boxing at all. there is two basic things in boxing e.i. attack and defense. In attack there is three: standing attack, advancing attack and withdrawing attack. this is also apply to defense. standing defense, advancing defense and withdrawing defense. Again for attack there is two kinds i.e. initiating attack and waiting attack. to explain all these will take lots of space so let me come directly to your problem. You know that he keeps distance from you. that means he is using the waiting attack tactic. he waits for you to come in and attack and he avoid it with his planed defense and reply you with counter. now you seemed to forgot very basic or common things about boxing. you are going to hit a standing man who can move away, slip aside and comes in. this is not your kid bag in training room. and who told you that you hit his head and he will stand there waiting for your punch to land. now what you are to do. because you know that he plays waiting tactic you don't need worry for his initiating attack. when you goes in with your attack it should be fake attack that means just hit one two and see how he defend it. if he avoid your punch with just a block your next two punch should be two hooks. if he sway back and comes in for attack. now there is a problem. you have to know what punch he use. if it is hooks your one two will land before his punches and if he throws one two your right left hooks will land but while you are throwing hooks your head must not remain at the original place, move it to your right when you throws your left hooks and move your head to your left when you throws tour right hooks. there is many options. you can throw two fake one two and sway back abruptly and throw your one two without even looking at him. to answer his second tactic which you found annoyed and crap out. well this is again waiting attack. when you attack he stand there farm keeping his head and body safe and pushes you which is followed by counter. very simple. here what you need to do is go in with very sharp one two to his guard(DON'T BOTHER WHETHER IT LAND OR NOT) and all-of a- sudden slip either to right or left or withdraw back fast with tow short hooks. your attack tactic should be two fast one two slip to side immediately

followed by two hooks. remember this simple logic. in boxing first three punches seldom land it is mostly third and forth punch that finds the target. if you want to hit his head don't go for head. keep attacking several one two body hit. when you do it several times he will get use to your this attack and forget your hooks. when you see that he is only blocking your one two it is high time to use fake one two to the body and without even looking for his head just rush up with two solid hooks and see how can he stop this punishment. this is boxing and my poor English is not good enough to explain properly in writing. hope you will make him feel crap up. Good Luck. Kindly let me know if you are success.

Someone already said it. Faints and body shots are the right way to go. Faint with the hands, the head, the feet everything. mix it up cos he will notice you faint so dont faint all the time. Also how about keeping your distance and when he jumps in to attack just reach out use the jab and step back and if he follows use a second jab or turn on it and use your right hand. Its easier said than done but there are ways to beat every style and if you know how to beat it it can be done. Also if you try the clinch what somebody already mentioned lean over him and push done make him tired and thats when his head movement will stop.

his head may move and be hard to hit, but his midsection is open for business, body shots are the way to go with this guy, keep your guard tight, when he comes in for a punch whack his body with your best hooks and once he bends(which he will do) hit his face hard with uppercuts and straights, that's really the only strategy i would see with this. try and attack when he attacks, that way it throws off his rhythm as well.

Body shots, clinch. Body shots, clinch. Get him winded and tired. When his hands start to drop, go for his head. This guy sounds like a textbook boxer. You have to make him brawl.

I started boxing like 6 months ago. The trainer has a son that is just an amazing fighter. I have the fortune or misfortune, depending on how you look at it, to spar with him a lot since we are about the same size. I have no idea how he does it but I can literally swing my arms at him for like 30 seconds straight and not get in a single head.

But I have figured out his tactic. He has two main tactics he uses. He keeps his distance and when I attack his head moves out of the way and he moves in for the attack. Very quick punches in succession and then out again. Then he has this other thing that just annoys the crap out of me. He plants his feet and keeps his head and upper body moving while I come in close and try to hit him. Sometimes he punishes me by counter punching to show me that I'm doing it wrong.

I know getting to that level takes years. But how do I fight him? I've been sparring against him regularly and I haven't gotten in a single good, clean hit on him. I would like to go at least one round without completely making a fool out of myself.
