followed by two hooks. remember this simple logic. in boxing first three punches seldom land it is mostly third and forth punch that finds the target. if you want to hit his head don't go for head. keep attacking several one two body hit. when you do it several times he will get use to your this attack and forget your hooks. when you see that he is only blocking your one two it is high time to use fake one two to the body and without even looking for his head just rush up with two solid hooks and see how can he stop this punishment. this is boxing and my poor English is not good enough to explain properly in writing. hope you will make him feel crap up. Good Luck. Kindly let me know if you are success.
Someone already said it. Faints and body shots are the right way to go. Faint with the hands, the head, the feet everything. mix it up cos he will notice you faint so dont faint all the time. Also how about keeping your distance and when he jumps in to attack just reach out use the jab and step back and if he follows use a second jab or turn on it and use your right hand. Its easier said than done but there are ways to beat every style and if you know how to beat it it can be done. Also if you try the clinch what somebody already mentioned lean over him and push done make him tired and thats when his head movement will stop.
his head may move and be hard to hit, but his midsection is open for business, body shots are the way to go with this guy, keep your guard tight, when he comes in for a punch whack his body with your best hooks and once he bends(which he will do) hit his face hard with uppercuts and straights, that's really the only strategy i would see with this. try and attack when he attacks, that way it throws off his rhythm as well.
Body shots, clinch. Body shots, clinch. Get him winded and tired. When his hands start to drop, go for his head. This guy sounds like a textbook boxer. You have to make him brawl.
I started boxing like 6 months ago. The trainer has a son that is just an amazing fighter. I have the fortune or misfortune, depending on how you look at it, to spar with him a lot since we are about the same size. I have no idea how he does it but I can literally swing my arms at him for like 30 seconds straight and not get in a single head.
But I have figured out his tactic. He has two main tactics he uses. He keeps his distance and when I attack his head moves out of the way and he moves in for the attack. Very quick punches in succession and then out again. Then he has this other thing that just annoys the crap out of me. He plants his feet and keeps his head and upper body moving while I come in close and try to hit him. Sometimes he punishes me by counter punching to show me that I'm doing it wrong.
I know getting to that level takes years. But how do I fight him? I've been sparring against him regularly and I haven't gotten in a single good, clean hit on him. I would like to go at least one round without completely making a fool out of myself.
