How do you rate David Tua as boxer?

Is he retired?

I thought he seemed to have great potential to become great heavyweight champion.

He is physically gifted.

What do you think?

Look at his record; it speaks for itself.

He's had a few life issues, but what boxer doesn't?

He will always have power, that's the last thing to go for a HW, like him.

He's pretty much near the end of his career, but has a few fights left in him, and he will fight in the near future 2013-2014.

On a good night, in good shape, he can knock out most fighters, but with giants like the Klitschkos, it would be a repeat of Lennox Lewis.

Never over look and old slugger like Tua, he could surprise the world; but its purely up to him and his dedication. A 3rd fight with Hasim Rahman could be interesting and bring back the good old day fights. A fight with David Haye could be good, but Haye doesn't want anything to do with Tuas left hook. Don't count Tua out till he's dead, one of the hardest hitters in History and his record is pretty dam good.

Tua could have been a very good Cruiserweight or Light Heavy with his power. He was a slugger with an iron chin, but he was just not built for the Heavyweight division. He was too small to mix it up at the time when the Heavies started to average 6'4" and weigh into the 230's. He could give anyone problems except for the elites of his time period.

2 out of 10

Tua was a good fighter but not a special one. He had great power in his left hook and a cast iron chin, but he was slow and plodding, and not very good defensively. He was soundly outboxed in his only title shot against Lennox Lewis. He had potential but I think his limitations really kept him from becoming champ.

David Tua is retired for now:http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/other-sport...

David Tua is not much of a boxer but he was a great slugger/brawler that very few could trade or mix it up with.

he had great power up there with shavers and foreman and his chin was almost uncrackable in his prime his hand speed was decent and he had good stamina but he was flatfooted and slow on his feet despite all his abilities he was good but never a great fighter

HE COULD TAKE A PUNCH AND HE COULD PUNCH BUT THAT IS ABOUT IT NOTHING SPECIAL. HE WAS NOT FAST HE DID NOT HAVE GREAT DEFENSE OR MOVEMENT AND HE WAS NOT A GOOD BOXER HE DID MAKE THE OLYMPIC TEAM FOR COME SMALL ISLAND AFTER FAILING TO MAKE THE us TEAM OH HE LOST THERE AS WELL.

hes a bum thats how i rate him his moment in history was his fight with lennox lewis which he lost
