How would Thomas Hearns have handled the height ,chin and relentlessness of Paul Williams @147?

BQ:is Paul Williams making any progress towards getting out of that wheelchair?

Great question.

Paul Williams has a granite chin. Normal welterweights can't hurt him, not even Margarito with plaster.

People forget but Paul Williams was 1 of the most dodged fighters at 147lbs in his day. Plaster handed Margarito, who was dodged in his day [especially after breaking Clotteys arm in their fight], regretted having fought Williams.

Hearns had extreme power at 147lbs. Williams is a swarmer but i think if Williams were more precautions he could finish and win a 12 round fight against Hearns.

Williams is the same height but had a 1'' reach advantage than Hearns. Hearns kayod smaller guys who came at him. Not bigger men who knew not to.

I think Hitman was capable of outboxing Williams for sure.

Just in general, Paul had a great chin. His defense lacked big time though, and I think Hearns would knock him out. I'm sure P-Will could take a few right hands, but you can't get hit clean over and over against a guy like Hearns without getting put to bed.

BQ: Paul is still in the same condition. Sadly, he'll probably always be that way, but it never hurts to be optimistic I guess.

The real question is how would Paul Williams make it 6 rounds with Hearns? I don't think it would happen. Paul was schooled by Lara, and clobbered by Martinez. Hearns would have no problem beating him.

Hearns reach and right hand should control Williams, especially at 147.

Thomas Hearns would of knocked his head off. It wouldn't of even been a fight.
