I think Jack Johnson most likely would have been KOed by Frazier, Jack's only real hope would be to survive on the outside and jab his way to a decision, Frazier would dominate any serious exchanges and most likely KO Jack if they mixed it up for any length of time. It is hard to pick against some of better heavyweights that Ali fought when you match them against the true old school fighters, the skill sets were lower in the 1800's and early 1900's near the turn of the century. I think Johnson rates higher on the all time great Heavyweight list than Joe, not so much for his boxing skill as his social impact and time frame.

Frazier had three grueling bouts with the GOAT ALi.If Frazier can go 44 rounds with the best HW the world has ever seen, he will definitely against Johnson. IMO Jack Johnson's defense was overrated and good only for his time. The 1971 Joe Frazier beat a very good defensive fighter in Ali. As sure as the sun will set today and rise for another yet tomorrow that Smoking Joe will beat Jack even in his prime best. Might as well KO Jack if the left hook lands. KO or UD for Frazier with Jack Johson in either result suffering more than one KD.

Frazier was such a warrior in any sense of this word. He would just overwhelm Johnson I think. Although Johnson had enough smartness and defensive skillset to probably give Smokin′ Joe a lot or work. But Jack Johnson never faced an opponent who could be compared to this unique individual, at that time no one was even nearly as dangerous as Frazier.

I see Joe Frazier winning the fight by constantly putting Johnson under pressure with his will and heart and ending the fight by landing a devastating left hook to the button.

Kind regards from germany;)

Jack Johnson is a very good boxer but Joe Frazier relentless pressure and body work will slow jack down and TKO him in the 14th round. This fight will resemble the Ali-Frazier first fight but when Joe land that perfect left hook in the 14th round, Jack couln't get up before the 10 counts.

I'm going with Blog, I think Joe would beat Jack, despite his skill, I think what Joe brings to the table is too much for Jack to handle.

frazier

johnson would have been too sharp and slick for smokin' joe.
