HECK NO!

Floyd doesn't take risks. Makes me sad because it would be a great fight.

At this point in time, Floyd Mayweather is well past fighting for the sheer thrill of fighting or bragadoccio. He has said that his main concern is to end his career undefeated but without endangering his health. But i think he will still fight if there's big money and title at stake. But what will he profit fighting against a still bigger, younger version of Golovkin without any title to win? The question is, will Golovkin, a big middleweight risk going down to 154 and stake his current middleweight belt?

Martinez has time and again tell reporters that he wants to fight Floyd at catch weight. I think that's the fight that can be made within the realm of possibility. Martinez is a small middleweight and is recognized as the numero uno at 160 lbs. and he has little time left in boxing.

Ask yourself this, what would an unknown Kazahkstani do for Mayweather? The answer is nothing, so Floyd will say no and that is no different from any fighter on top of the mountain in the sports history. Foreman didn't fight Ali because of machismo, it was the biggest guaranteed purse of all-time that brought him to Zaire.

As for Sergio Martinez, that guy had everything it takes to be a star in this country, but let a dumb sense of loyalty to Lou Dibella kill his chance to become a superstar. He & Paul Williams didn't get major fights because GBP & Top Rank weren't going to reward a promoter that has done absolutely nothing to promote his fighter with a fight against the top draws in the sport. If he left Dibella and joined Top Rank, Arum would have made him as big as ODLH.

@Teodor- He also called out Manny, fact is he let Dibella steal his prime away for relative peanuts.

Doubt it. Golovkin doesn't generate enough views for Floyd to even acknowledge him. If he becomes popular before Floyd retires, there is a possibility that it will happen, but I doubt that Floyd would put his record on the line like that.

Mayweather probably doesn't even know who Golovkin is, and neither does anyone outside hardcore boxing fans.

Floyd has no chance of winning that fight. He gets hit with the stone hands of GGG he will be out faster than pacquiao was.
