If manny pac comes back and fights rios then canelo alvarez?

As Bob put it, if PAc loses, he's out. Just like in golf, there's strike 1 and strike 2. If you missed the third time, it'll be the last game for the Pacman.

if manny pac comes back and fights rios then canelo alvarez?

could the floyd fight still happen , Doc, it probably will. Assuming MAnny wins big in both fights

I don't know what makes you think so adamantly that Floyd doesn't want anything to do with Canelo Alvarez first of all. If Canelo gets gassed against Floyd like he did against Trout, Floyd would punish him for it. It's not that hard to imagine happening, and frankly the only thing Canelo has on Floyd is his size. That's it. Nothing more. I don't even think Alvarez is the best fighter in his own division. I'm not hating on the ginger, but I really don't understand why people act like he's the second coming. I'd bet money that Erislandy Lara would beat his ***, and I'll flip the script and go as far to say that Golden Boy wants nothing to do with HIM.

That said, I don't see Pac fighting Alvarez at 154 and I really think a win against him at a catchweight would be a hollow victory. It would make money, but it still wouldn't mean anything to me. As others have already stated, Pac wouldn't fight Cotto at jr middle so why would he fight the second coming without the aid of a catchweight? Rios is a ready-made opponent for Pacquiao stylistically and I think it's a good match-up for him, coming off his loss. He should shine in this fight as Rios is a rock em sock em type in-fighter with basically zero lateral movement and limited defense. After the Rios fight, I think Bradley would be a logical opponent. Whether Bradley wins or loses against Marquez, the fact remains that Bradley "beat" Pacquiao via controversial decision and you'd think that Manny would want to defeat him in a dominant sort of fashion out of pride if nothing else. Bradley may not be a household name or a big draw, but Pacquiao is Pacquiao so he'll still sell fights. It's not like Bradley is a threat to Pac's health either, seeing as how he can't punch himself out of a wet paper sack, but he's totally the opposite of what TopRank thinks a Pacquiao opponent should look like in terms of style. You'll see what I mean by that after watching the Rios fight and comparing it to someone who has the ability to show Pacquiao angles and movement. Maybe that plays a part in why there's been no talk of a rematch.

I got off on a rant there, but yeah. I'd bet my dick that Pacquiao won't fight Canelo, and hypothetically if he did and he won, I don't think that would have any bearing on a potential fight between him and Mayweather. I guess I feel that way because like I said before, I don't think Canelo is as great as the media makes him out to be, and I don't think Pacquiao would fight him without a catchweight, and catchweights make for hollow victories.

Doc,

Manny is damaged goods. Rios who I'm pretty sure is going to lose to Manny is too stationary of a fighter and is open all night long for Manny's shot and even though Manny's career is over, that last thing that any fighter loses is his punch, and Manny can still punch.

Canelo stops Manny in less than six if they ever fought in a very brutal fashion because Manny would be too proud to take a knee.

There's pretty much nobody in the boxing community that is interested in a outdated Floyd vs Manny fight. This fight is long overdue and after what Marquez did to Manny intrest fell quite dramatically.

The one thing I can say without doubt or reservation would be, If your scenario played out, Floyd would try desperately to make this fight happen because there would be no chance that Manny could possibly win. The damage already done by Marquez the short, but brutal WAR with Rios (if Manny wins) and the much bigger and Harder punches absorbed during a Canelo fight (if Manny wins) would be way too much punishment on a aging Manny. And no THREAT is what Floyd is all about at this stage of his career and a fight with Manny would be right up Floyd's alley.

Pac man will never fight Canelo....And Canelo/Floyd will most likely happen....Floyd/Pac could still happen and I'd still think it'd be a good fight but politics man....no way is Floyd risking it against a guy like Pac who has one monster left in him I feel

Pacquiao is fighting Rios, a Top Rank Jr Welterweight who is coming off 2 wars and most recently a loss. He stands no chance versus Pacquiao.

He will not fight Saul Alvarez. First, Pacquiao is with Top Rank and HBO, Alvarez is with Golden Boy and Showtime, which makes the fight near impossible to make. Also, if Pacquiao wouldn't meet an older Cotto, who he had already beaten at 154... Why would he fight a young undefeated Alvarez at 154. He would not. Canelo has made it clear, he isn't fighting below 154... Pacquiao can't catchweight him like he did Cotto and Margarito... And Golden Boy wouldn't let him the way Top Rank did.

The only way we get Mayweather/ Pacquiao is for Manny to become free of Arum, just like Cotto.

I can't see someone Like Pacquiao fighting Canelo Alvarez at 154.

You say Floyd wants nothing to do with Alvarez based off what? hatred? because you know nothing of what goes on behind the scenes and you're already accusing him of ducking. Pacquiao won't fight him, because he will most definitely want Alvarez at 147 lbs or demand a catch weight he wouldn't even make in efforts to keep his speed while draining his opponent.

Pacquiao should avenge his loss to Bradley.

"floyd wants nothing to do with canelo" where did you get this info DOC??!! I think its a real shame you have started to hate on Mayweather,I always considered you a good boxing fan that didnt take sides and respected great boxers but you are beginning to sound like one of those skinny little filipino pactards that have no idea about boxing just manny is best,shame.....

this fight isn't happening. pac and canelo are with rival promoters. pac has also stated that he has no interest in fighting above welterweight, and i highly doubt canelo would agree to one of pac's bs catchweights.

aw man, flomos ganging you up!!!!

65% chance, pac wins against canelo...

i even think margarito will give canelo a beating.

frankly, what's pac got to lose, fighting canelo at 154 is a good move...

if he lose, its the best way to retire...

if he wins, he doesnt need marquez and floyd anymore.

could the floyd fight still happen ,

OK sorry about the same old question but i can't think of to many guys for floyd to fight in his last 5 fights for showtime . now if manny beats rios which he will a fight with canelo might be the only big fight for both fighters ,floyd wants nothing to do with canelo and other than moving up for martinez canelo doesn't have any big fights out there.

could this be a route for the floyd /manny fight to happen

manny vs canelo would be a interesting match up with manny the underdog for the first time in a long while .
