Is Alvarez really on mayweather level?

Thoughts about who you think will win the fight and what each fighter needs to do to win

The good big man almost always beats the good little man. Alvarez has youth and all of the other tools he needs to beat the older and fading Mayweather. Mayweather has been showing signs of slipping for a while now. Big ups to Floyd for taking such a dangerous fight.

YES, Alvarez is not only on Mayweather's level but has surpassed it.

Alvarez is the toughest oppnent out there for Floyd. If Matweather wins, I just give up on trying to find anyone that could beat him now. Every month that goes by will make him more vulnerable though.

No...He's not, but then again who really is on Mayweather's level? To be completely honest, I don't even think Canelo is the best fighter in his own division, and I think Erislandy Lara would school him. That's just how I feel, but I do think this is a good fight. don't get me wrong. Mayweather will be at a huge weight disadvantage on fight night... People don't realize how important that is. Canelo is a big strong guy who is really a lot bigger than Floyd. When Floyd was 22 he was fighting at super featherweight. Canelo at 22 is coming into the ring on fightnight looking like a light heavyweight. That's something to consider. Aside from that advantage, there isn't another one for Canelo to work with, in my opinion.

Floyd has been here countless times. All he has to do is be himself...and be true to himself..and fight smart. Canelo has to show us how to beat Mayweather. We have all said this is the way or that is the way, but until I've seen it done, I won't try to tell people how it's to be done. That's not for me to do, and if it were that easy, someone would have beaten him by now. I know one thing Canelo can't do, and that's to get in there and gas out like he did against Trout. If he does that against Floyd, he will be punished for it. I'm curious to see what his conditioning looks like.

That said, I don't think Canelo can win without knocking Floyd out or stopping him. He's got to catch him with a big shot, jump on him and finish him to win i think. Outside of that happening, I think Floyd boxes his ears off despite being 14 years older and at least 20 lbs lighter on fight night. Its got all the potential to be a good fight though, and anything can happen on any given night in the squared circle. I'm curious to see how it plays out.

I hate mayweather but he is on his own level atm. He is undefeated so he makes millions per fight and so do his opponents even when they lose.I think mayweather will win because he trains harder and fights smarter.

I think alvarez will win with what he just did with trout and he right now one of the heaviest punchers in boxing right now I think he will win

Was Antonion Tarver really on Roy Jones Jr.'s level? Your answer is yes, as far as anyone can be on Floyd's level, Canelo is there. In September, we will find out if he can stay there.
