I think he came back too soon after his last fight and looked like he gassed out a bit. Take nothing away from Takam though who looked very good and took the fight to Perez. I thought Takam won by 2 rounds but it was a hard fight to score.
I think he's the same, he just faced a guy who was more capable on the inside and had better stamina. After the fifth round Perez was tired and forced to fight on the inside, where he wasn't as capable as Takam.
I'm pissed b/c I bet the over 9 1/2 rounds (which hit), but I threw a tiny bit of money of Takam b/c he was like a +800 underdog. A draw is a fair result, but I'm still disappointed....
Great fight though. Started out slow, but when they started mixing it up and Perez got tired, it turned into a good scrap.
Mike Perez wasn't that good before. Not sure what people seen in him.
He's easy to hit. a good heavyweight contender like Chris Arreola would eat him up.
