Personal training is expensive but most Boxing gyms are willing to give novice fighters a little extra attention because experience fighters know how to train themselves for the most part.
The most I have ever paid for training at a Boxing Gym is 50.00 dollars a month, it wasn't personal training, but i got enough attention to learn the sport.
Some people might require more attention than others and I'm aware of that, but I wouldn't recommend paying 200.00 dollars a month for Boxing training.
If the trainer is really qualified then $200 a month is very reasonable. Do the math and see what you are paying per hour. I don't know what private Boxing goes for but Karate, Jujitsu ....etc. generally costs from $50 an hour up. When I closed my dojo in Virgina in late 1997, I was getting $25 for a 1/2 hour private lesson. And, at the time I was charging less than the average going rate.
....
Who is the boxing trainer? Are they a former professional who has had an experienced amateur back ground? If not you are wasting your money
It depends on your priority MONEY or Your physical Strength.then choose one.
It's your choice BOSS.
I go 4-5x week, 1 hr 30 mins - 2hrs, 1 on 1. I've been boxing for 2 months now and have only sparred once. Next month it's going to be 3 months and have to make a decision if I want to continue or not.
