Lennox Lewis vs Rocky Marciano?

Lewis has an easy time with The Rock. 60lbs weight differential, 7 inches in height and much bigger reach.

Rocky was a tough slugger, but I do think he was overrated. How many world title fights he have? 5! And because he retired undefeated he has gone down as a great. He beat an old old shot Joe Louis. He's not a champ of longevity with 5 title fights. Only thing is that back in his day there was only 1 belt, which is how it should be today but money and greed dictate otherwise as in most other sports. Had he stayed around and done say 10 or more world title fights I might be able to accept him as the legend others do. He was a 185lbs 5'10'' man - today thats what light heavyweights come in at on fight night. He be a small cruiserweight at best.

Rocky have any hope against Lennox? Now way on this earth. Not big enough, and wouldnt have gotten close. Lewis KO's him before round 6.

Lennox lewis redeemed both of his loses throughout his career. He came back and tko'd Oliver mcCall and he knocked out Hasim rahman in the rematch. He also hold wins over Mike tyson and Evander holyfield. When Lennox lewis was focused and was taking his opponents seriously. No man can stop him. He never lost again because he was more focused and prepared than ever. Rocky marciano was a great fighter that only relied on his power and aggressiveness. I see Lennox lewis knocking out marciano because he would leave himself open for counters throughout the entire fight. Lennox lewis by 9th. stoppage.

In modern times Rocky would have been the Cruiserweight Champ and probably wouldn't have faced Lewis truth be told. Also Rocky was not the punching bag you make him out to be or he wouldn't have won all his fights sir. Go to the youtube video titled Marciano's underrated defense and see for yourself and you may just be a little surprised and enlightened. He won despite his size and because of conditioning and fighting a style that was suited for him to win and carried it out. And he did hit hard and wherever he hit you did indeed hurt. He may have lost to Lewis because of the obvious size advantages I will give you that, but Rocky was the best of his time and a tough, tough man and had no fear in the ring.

Lewis by KO RD 5

Lewis could jab, and play with Rocky to a easy decision, but I doubt the smaller Rocky could withstand the punishment. A 1-2 combo would most likely end Rocky in early to mid rounds.

On paper Lewis is too big and strong for Marciano, in real life Lewis was knocked out by two guys with less power than Marciano, so anything is possible when you have a pressure fighter against a guy with a questionable jaw.

Rocky is really a light heavyweight and Lennox is too big and too technical for him

Lennox Lewis:

Height: 6''5

Weight: 245lbs

Reach: 85 inches

Style: Boxer-Puncher

Notable wins: Razor Ruddock, Tony Tucker, Frank Bruno, Tommy Morrison, Ray Mercer, Oliver McCall, Andrew Golota, Shannon Brigs, Evander Holyfield, David Tua, Mike Tyson and Vitali Klitschko

Rocky Marciano:

Height: 5''11

Weight: 185lbs

Reach: 67 inches

Style: Inside-Fighter

Notable wins: Rex Layne, Joe Louis, Jersey Joe Walcott x2, Ezzard Charles x2, Don Cockell, Archie Moore

I have Lewis winning. His jab really badly cut up Mike Tyson and I think it'd do the same, he could fight inside and outside and wasn't one-dimensional like Rocky. In fantasy land maybe Rocky wins.

Thoughts?
