Is there such thing as a lucky punch in boxing ?

how can someone explain that? u landed a punch without properly timing it and it landed on your opponent by luck ?

Mark,

Sure there is, although boxers especially a Champion caliber boxer who has literally thousands and thousands of hours in the gym perfecting his/her craft and throwing millions of combinations the term "lucky" doesn't fly to well, it becomes a matter of instinct.

Mark a perfect example of what I'm writing about would be when Marquez knocked out Manny. Marquez claimed he practice that punch in the gym and I'm sure he did, I'm sure he threw that punch thousands of times, but to hit Manny the way he did at that exact moment, lets just say he's "LUCKY" that punch caught Manny because he was in some pretty deep do-do up until that point.

Great question Mark.

The legendary Eddie Futch once said " there's no such thing as lucky punch, you aimed to hit it to someone" But Guapo guy said it best. Some guys just had lady luck smiling by their side come fight night.

Well lets say your getting beat the **** out of,and your throwing anger punches that are like 5% accurate, you miss like 30 of them in a row,and your about to collapse, and you give one last one that's really sloppy and terrible and somehow it knocks him out cold. Sounds lucky to me. Or if you uppercut and it's way off but they dodge right into it when they meant to dodge the other way, maybe their brain acted up or something. So yes it is such thing

You might call it luck, but another way to look at it is an accidental knockout. It happens, when too bodies collide.
