Khan vs. Mayweather: Not so bad?

It really isnt bad, except for those who would have a problem with any Mayweather opponent. Roy Jones Jr has said Khan can trouble Floyd and this isnt a promotional statement. RJJ commentates for HBO. Floyd fights on Showtime. There is nothing to be gained by Jones building Mayweather/ Khan.

Khan's reach, speed and skill will give him chances to do things Floyd hasnt faced in some time.

I think this fight will be better than most people. With Mayweather being over confident and not worrying about Kahn's power, I think this will be a slug fest with mayweather going for the ko. People saying they buying this fight will miss out on what I think will be a good fight, not great. It should at least be better than Mayweather's last 2 fights

Not bad at all if I get to Khan get schooled

boxing fans will accept anything. boycott PPV, and promoters will stop selling the fans leftovers

i couldn't of wrote that better myself agree 100%

are you even hearing yourselves...

Its not that bad but you really need to convince yourselves?

.

IDK... I was worried we'd get stuck with Mayweather vs Maidana; which would've been awful! Slow and flat footed as Maidana is, Mayweather would have bored us all to tears pop shoting, counter punching, and jabbing Maidana to another boring one-sided decisions. And, don't get me wrong, I LOVE watching Mighty Marcos Maidana, but against Floyd... NO THANK YOU!!!

Maidana's really best suited for tough fighters looking to mix it up, entertaining, good at what he does, but easily dispatched against anybody light on their feet, boxing (not slugging) with defensive instincts. It would've been terribly lame and predictable. I would've had about the same chance of beating Mayweather as Maidana, because mathematically speaking zero is zero!

Now, I know many people aren't terribly excited about Amir Khan, but I actually like this fight, and I'll tell you why.

While it is 100% true that Khan has done NOTHING to earn this fight, I think it will be interesting.

Khan steam rolled through Zab Judah, and mangled Malinagi. Not while there is no doubt they were NOT quite on Mayweather's level, but they were, however, "speedy, crafty boxer-type fighters," and he destroyed them! Khan has a significant height, reach, and age advantage, and unlike Canelo, Khan is FAST FAST FAST!!! He comes straight forward throwing punches in bunches, and he actually has the hand speed to keep up with Floyd.

Khan's glaring weakness is and has always been his glass jaw. However, only guys who could really punch like Prescott and Garcia were able to take advantage of that. We all KNOW Mayweather cannot punch!!! Mayweather does NOT have the punching power to hurt, even Khan's puny chin. On the flip side Khan's got pretty descent punching power, and with his hand speed, and aggressive volume punching style, not to mention height and reach, I think he give Mayweather a rough night!

I'm not saying Khan is the best choice out there!!! I would prefer Sergio Martinez or Pacquiao, but stylistically... I think Khan is a really great match for Mayweather! Its certainly better than Guerrero and Alvarez!!! Those guys never had ANY chance! Too slow, too mobility limited, and not very dangerous. Khan has tons of speed, good power, and has proven he can deal with quick crafty boxer-type fighters. His chin won't be a problem against Mayweather, and he is going to show up guns blazing!!! I'm not hating this fight!!!

What are your thoughts???
