Leo Santa Cruz vs Anselmo Moreno: Who You Got?

Posted at: 2015-04-20
This fight is being discussed for the undercard of Money-Guerrero.

I like the style matchup, Moreno is slick and Santa Cruz is a little Margarito type dude.

Who wins?

What's up bro?

That's definitely a big step up in competition for Leo Santa Cruz and he's

already defeated another top veteran fighter former World Champion Eric

Morel. That's going to be an interesting fight. They wanna match up LEO

with a top fighter in the next weight division. I wouldn't mind seeing Santa

Cruz fight Anselmo Moreno that's be a great fight. Leo was already calling

out Abner Mares, I think Leo would outbox Anselmo Moreno via 12RD MD.

Now that Saul Alvarez is going to fight Austin Trout in San Antonio which

I might go check out that Golden Boy Promotions boxing card in April the

undercard for Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Robert Guerrero needed some star

power and boy have they been building up that pay per view card May 4th.

Main Event WBC Welterweight Title

Floyd Maweather vs. Robert Guerrero

Co-Main Event WBC Featherweight Title

Abner Mares vs. Daniel Ponce De Leon

12 Rounds Jr. Middleweights Re-Match

Alfredo "Pero" Angulo vs. Gabriel Rosado 2

Last Undercard Bout either Broner or Santa Cruz

First off...great fight. Styles make fights. This is a nice contrast. I love Moreno and think he's trouble for 90% of the guys in his weight range. The come-forward aggression of Mares gave him fits. Leo comes forward like that buy he is not as advanced as Mares. The question will be do they score rounds for Santa Cruz for coming forward or will they score for all the nuances Moreno exhibits. I see a split decision for Santa Cruz...

Moreno will win this. He had a close fight with Mares in the division above. It was closer than the score cards and the wrong boxer got a point deduction.

Moreno is one of the slickest boxers out there. I love his crouching style and the way he sets up the jab by pushing off his opponent off with his shoulder.

Santa Cruz is one for the future. We could see him step up to the plate and take this one, but I'm going to have to go with the more seasoned Moreno who is at the height of his prime.

i am a big Moreno fan...

ok, may not a BIG fan, but he is one of my favorite fighters under 140.....

i say he beats Santa Cruz. i never trust no one with three names
