Nightmare is 100% correct, are you seriously asking how to improve your stamina for boxing when admittedly only running a single mile a day? Run minimum of 3 miles and preferably 5 a day every single day. That is what I did and anything less is simply not enough!

Oh hell no. 1 f*cking mile? Stop being a puss and run the minimum requirement of 5 miles! 1 mile isn't going to give you jack sh*t. You run 5 miles to increase stamina, I can already tell you have a bad coach or don't even go to a real gym. If that's the case you have no chance of making the 2016 team and have terrible training.

It's not a matter of miles. It's a matter of time and intensity. You are going to want to do aerobic interval training.

Basically, you want to work hard enough to get your heart rate into the aerobic training zone for the duration of the exercise period. That should be at least 20 minutes and should also include a warm up and a cool down...So 40-45 minutes total.

But that's just to start. You want to get into interval training.

Your normal "aerobic training" heart rate should be in the 65-75% (of max) range.

Your intervals should be "high intensity" intervals done at the 90% range for from 15 seconds to 60 seconds.

You need to run a lot, drink lots of water and don't eat garbage.. Keeping your system clean makes a huge difference. But dude running a mike a day is not enough.. I'd recommend 5 but start by walking then mixing the two together for the first week, then balls out man run fer dayzzzz
