Except for the early years of boxing when blacks were not allowed to fight for legitimate championships including the period before and after the reign of Jack Johnson, I could perhaps cite the era of Rocky Marciano ( but then again, the planet's best boxer was a black, Sugar Ray Robinson ), the best prime years of Roberto Duran ( especially after he beat Sugar Ray Leonard in their first fight but at that time the more glamorous heavier weights were still ruled by blacks as Michael Spinks and Larry Holmes ), the prime best years of Julio Cesar Chavez and Oscar de la Hoya ( although the more popular and richer fighters were Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield ) and the breakout and breakthrough years of Manny Pacquiao ( 2007-2010 ).

According to the Ring, ESPN, the International Boxing Research Organization, Bert Sugar and many other experts; the greatest p4p fighter in the last 30 years was Roberto Duran [a latino]. Duran only lost after old age when he went up 2 divisions to fight Leonard [who he beat when he was in shape].

Lennox got kayod by Oliver Mcall & Rahman [who Klitchko kayod], don't only criticize Wladimir for his early career losses, Lennox had more embarrassing losses and far less title defenses. No 1 has ever fought as many big men as Wladimir, his last 3 opponents were huge undefeated fighters, saying it's a ''weak era'' is ridiculous. Don't confuse popularity with strength.

Let's look at the facts just the facts . Floyd Mayweather number one in the sport every fight he has is a masters class in boxing . Andre Ward the second best fighter in the world everyone talks about fighting him but no one is getting in the ring with him.Rig same thing the Cuban is making great fighters look average no one wants to fight him. Bernard Hopkins the old man still no one wants to fight him. Tim Bradley ,Lara,Alexander,Andre Dirrell,Anthony Dirrell, Brad Solomon not to mention all the great looking black heavy weights just setting around waiting on a fight. Name me one time in history that a non black person was not at the top of the sport?
