What a great fight last night I am sorry that some of the people watching it did not understand what they were?

I couldn't agree more. One thing people aren't talking about is the AMAZING footwork displayed by Rigondeaux.

The irony of it all is that Bob Arum and company were even talking about transforming Chinese flyweight pro debutante Zhou Shi Min's amateur style of boxing to the pro one when Rigondeux basically employed that style to beat a grizzled pro silly with the judges and people like you who should know the difference between the two gladly and approvingly watched from the sidelines. Used to be that judges and pro boxing fans frowned upon "amateurish" fighters who used their feet more than their fists in extracting a win. I thought I saw an Olympic finals bout there yesterday! What ever happened to the time-honored tradition that also give weight to the one who is taking the fight to his opponent and forcing the action? Might as well we obscure already the difference between the pros and the amateurs in boxing?

The thing is, the judges and most of the supposed pro boxing fans were MESMERIZED by Rigondeux's "masterful" but amateurish boxing and hence failed to realize that there is more to pro boxing than hitting and not be hit.

That is what Doniare gets and hopefully he learned his lesson.

Rigo is what Boxers should aspire to box like, and than do something even better with that.

He fought a simple fight last night and executed it masturfully and to be honest, these so called pressure fighters are getting so lazy now. They don't cut the ring, they load up on one shot and they lack the footwork to keep the other fighter on their toes.

Yeah Rig beat Donaire. Rig had such a great run. (Pun intended).

Rigondeoux is on steroids and is a powerhouse southpaw. Donaire, the asian roy jones, is all natural so of course he would lose.

Unable to process Great Wall of Text! In all seriousness, it was beautiful boxing.

Most people watching were filipinos.

Filipinos aren't very smart.

. Rig showed what this sport is all about he prepared his body and mind for the task ahead and went out and executed the game plan to perfection. This was a masters class in boxing I am not discounting Donaire boxing ability's he just got beat and he got beat bad. I don't think Donaire will ever be the same. A very few fighters can have a lot going on out side of the ring and still be a great fighter Roy Jones Jr Floyd Mayweather . being two of them Donaire is not one of them. In this type of fight you need to be 100 % focused on the fight. Donaire mad a big mistake by not respecting Rigs game. I believe he knew how good Rig was he was just a little to arrogant. From the first round Donaire and his team never made any adjustments to Rigs boxing style. Let me say this before I forget Donaire let a amateur beat him .Rig beat Donaire using a amateur style of boxing wow higt and don't get hit boxing 101.What happened to all the speed and power everyone was talking about Donaire had before this fight? What happen to the top 10 p4p Donaire? I am a boxing purest so I was in heaven watching a master at his craft go to work it was a thing of beauty. Did you see how much energy Rig was using to get out the way of Donaire punches he was using his whole body to get out the way. There are so many levels of boxing. I wish Broner were in Rigs class then you would see a great fight.
