Adrian Broner is very talented fighter and charismatic fighter but at the end of the day he can't out-trash talk Paulie Malignaggi and I think he thought having the entourage of yes-men/tough guys was going to scare Pauli away and it didn't.
I still don't think this means Pauli Malignaggi would beat Adrian Broner because I still think "The Problem" is a better fighter, but I think it'll add for some entertaining hype to the upcoming fight.
Paulie Malignaggi isn't working for ShowTime as a broadcaster because he can't talk, the guy is just as capable of going back and fourth with the best of them.
Malignaggi made some solid points during there verbal sparring session and I agree with all of them. Adrian "The Problem" Broner was handed a title by HBO and Golden Boy, I thought he lost that very close fight with Daniel Ponce De Leon, and aside from Antonio DeMarco he hasn't faced anybody notable.
When you look at the facts its Pauli Maliganaggi who's faced the tougher competition and who's had the harder road to Boxing glory. He has losses, which people are going to point out, but Broner wouldn't have beaten any of the guys Pauli lost too.
Conventional Wisdom says Adrian Broner is younger, naturally bigger, stronger, faster, undefeated so on paper this is a fairly easy fight for Broner, we all know that sometimes things do go as planed. If I had to pick a winner I'd go with the favorite and still pick Broner but it'll be a tough fight.
I honestly find both their trash talking annoying. Paulie is a grown *** man, he shouldn't be showing off his abs in public like he's Justin Bieber. And Broner's trash talking is as overrated as his boxing skills. He's been publicly shut up in the past by Guerrero, Rios and Vazquez, and outboxed in the ring by an undersized Deleon.
As far as this fight is concerned: Let's face it, GB knows the top guys at 140 would destroy Broner, which is why they selected Paulie as his next opponent, an over the hill light hitter. Paulie has faced some quality fighters in the past no doubt, but he should have lost his last fight against CANO, who isn't close to elite.
Adrian Broner is a fool. I mean I know a lot of people compare him to Mayweather but the difference between him and Mayweather is clear. All you need to do is look at their records. Floyd Mayweather also talks trash and backs it up.
All Adrian Broner did is pick a fight and then get blown out. Paulie never changed the subject, he just responded. Everytime he did, Broner just changed the subject. He's horrible at talking trash.
Broner doesn't realize that playing the dozens with a guy that knows who he is and is very happy about it is a loosing proposition unless you have inside info on what makes them tick. Throw in the fact that he's a NYC guy where you have to quickly develop a fast mind and tough skin so the city doesn't prey on you and that kid has no chance. Somebody needs to tell Broner all the stupid trash talking ploys he's trying to develop Malinaggi probably picked up and mastered at 5 years old growing up in Brooklyn. I can't stand NYC, but that place develops you a whole lot faster than Nati.
Broner is a real live walking talking fool. Broner walks up to Pauly and tells him he is F ing his girl. Why would Broner want Pauly's girl in the first place . Pauly just laughed at him and told him he could have her I mean what type of man Shitt is that? So round one goes to Pauly . Here was the big round Pauly pulled up his sweater to show off his abs he is in great shape then he told Broner to show his abs Broner would not do it he started running his mouth about who knows what but the look on his face said it all DAMN!! that boy is in shape. Round two to Pauly. .
