I have to disagree with you on this one Flash although it would be a thing of beauty to see. I can't imagine that Hopkins would beat Ward at this point and I respect the heck out of Hopkins. Ward is not Cloud. Hell Ward is not even Dawson, who was able to push it to another level to defeat Hop. Ward is a younger, quicker Bernard Hopkins. He in fights, he fights at distance. He can win an ugly snooze fest. He knows about hitting on the point of the hip when turned away from the ref just like Hopkins does. Ward is able to figure other fighter's out and adjust his style to that which will take his opponent out. I think that Hopkins should take a safer fight and retire in glory rather than face Ward.

Only way that fight happens is if HBO doesn't mind having a big loss leader since neither guy has a big enough fanbase to have a ppv and are credentialed enough where getting a low check wouldn't be acceptable.

The problem for Hopkins is Ward isn't a low skill fighter that can't process information quickly and folds, or becomes unstable, under his old school tactics. And when while he's beating him to a pulp, Ward won't lose his head and provide the opportunity for Hopkins to take a dive out of the ring and claim another "shoulder problem". Hopkins would have to sit in the ring and take punishment until he or his corner throw in the towel.

Well if you're going to go out on your az, it might as well be against the best for a good payday.

I'd bet my house on Ward beating Hopkins. $hit, I'd bet YOUR house that Ward would beat Hopkins. No offense in saying that, I just don't see Hopkins coming out on top. Ward is just too good technically, and he's fresh, with too many facets to his game for an aging Hopkins to cope with. I hope you don't lose too much money on this fight if it ever does take place, because ...you will lose money on this fight if it does happen. In saying that, I really doubt this fight will ever take place. What Hopkins has been doing at this stage of his career is special, but I think you're selling yourself short on realizing what Ward is able to bring to the table here.

It would be tough to top Buster Douglas beating Mike Tyson. If it happens and B-hop catches lighting in a bottle one more time, my jaw will drop.

I took a sampling of what you guys and some other guys thought about this fight. It is going to happen mark my words. The con man has done it again . The biggest trick the devil ever did was to convince people that he was not real. As sure as I am setting here this fight is going to happen. If you remember Hopkins said he was not going to fight Chad Dawson we all know how that turned out..I am betting that Hopkins wins . You can say what you want but Cloud was a real beast man and Hopkins took his best punches and beat him at his own game. I say this will be the biggest upset in the history of the world bigger that David over Goliath. I can't wait.
