Having seen 44 other fighters failed to cash in on the so-called puncher's chance, I think Canelo tried to beat Floyd in some other way, that is by boxing and counter punching as he successfully did against another slickster Trout. But Floyd was just too smart, intelligent, skillful and talented for him. Nice try though. It showed that trying fighting Floyd's fight is also not the way to beat him. trying to best floyd at his own game was a stupid move.canelo didn't have the speed or the skill to match him, though he did fair very well considering the difficulty of such a task.

this fight connot excite me, floyd definitely painted another masterpiece on the ring again but i cannot appreciate it... i already knew the catchweight will take effect, and we saw fatigue from canelo on the 7th... and that floyd will try to tire canelo w/c he did by dictating the fight too early on the 1st round...floyd was successfull on all rounds, canelo didnt won any...

i think canelo missed an opportunity last night , at the start of the fight floyd looked a little nervous to me and i think canelos speed surprised him a little but canelo tried to be the counter puncher allowing floyd to take the early lead ,canelo looked massive next to floyd and should of used his strength more ,i didn't think floyd liked it when canelo threw his shots in 3s and 4s .
i think if canelo had come out like a young tyson last night he might of got ko'd but he would of had a chance of winning but to try and counter floyd was never gonna get him the win .
canelo was better than i thought but fought the wrong fight .
great win for floyd but i think canelo made it easier than it could of been .
