What's your top 5 battle of the undefeateds?

Ali vs Frazier tops all i guess

1) Ali vs.Frazier- The fight of the century. The king comes back after three years to reclaim his throne, only to be beaten in this first fight of what is widely regarded as the greatest trilogy in the history of boxing.

2) Bowe vs.Holyfied- This, the first of their legendary series of three fights showed us exactly what each man was made, and capable of. This fight in particular is the reason I say a peak Bowe would give any heavyweight in the "hall" trouble. He had all the tools to be great. By that I mean top five material. One of the best uppercuts, if not the best that i've seen in the division. When he was motivated, he was a complete and total monster. Just scary. Riddick Bowe didn't even know his own potential, and he didn't strive for greatness. If he'd have shown up every time out like he did in this fight, he could have been remembered much differently among the boxing community. Great fight. Round ten was declared round of the year.

3) Mayweather vs.Corrales(RIP)- I put this fight here because in this fight I saw the underdog put on the most beautiful display of boxing I've ever seen in a boxing ring. Deigo Corrales, a knockout machine who was a heavy favorite, was utterly outclassed and outboxed from bell to bell, from pillar to post. This fight had everything: We saw brutality in the way Floyd fought this fight unmercifully, and we saw beauty in the way he used the ring; We saw poetry in motion for those who were able to appreciate it, and we saw tremendous heart from Corrales in trying to get up. He never quit. We saw compassion from Diego's father in throwing in the towel in order to protect his child from more punishment than was necessary, and the anger that ensued from Diego because he didn't get to finish the fight that he'd started, and that followed by the exuberance of victory from Floyd. We saw everything there but competitiveness, and that in itself speaks to Floyd's skills as a prize fighter. Great fight, although one sided. This is a must watch for those who haven't seen it.

4) Holmes vs. Spinks- I have this fight here because of the historical significance of it. If Holmes wins, he ties Rocky Marciano's record of 49 fights unbeaten as a heavyweight, and if Spinks wins, hes the first light heavy to take the heavyweight crown. Spinks won. This is a very significant moment in boxing history.

5) Number five could go to a number of different fights, but i guess i'll pick Foreman vs. Frazier, because in Foreman's dismantling of Frazier, it set up the fight and helped in created the aura surrounding his match-up with Ali. The guy who beat the guy who beat the guy, and the title is on the line. That's an important time in boxing history right there, and ultimately it would play a big part in adding to the legend that is Muhammad Ali.

Edit:......I don't know exactly why it is that I see people saying Leonard-Hearns here, seeing as how Leonard wasn't undefeated when he first fought Hearns...... He had already taken a loss against Roberto Duran before the two ever stepped foot in the ring together. However, I feel compelled to comment on this fight, as it was a very significant fight that would ultimately determine how history would look back at both fighters.

Leonard-Hearns- Great fight. This one told me a lot about both fighters. After being down on the cards, Leonard dug deep and pulled the fight out of the fire exactly when he needed to by fourteenth round stoppage. Ray Leonard deserves all the credit in the world for what he accomplished that night. Sadly however, That one loss, in my opinion unfairly cast a shadow upon Hearns that placed him firmly as second best to Sugar Ray Leonard in the minds of most boxing fans, as people forget that he did in fact outbox Leonard for the majority of that particular fight up until the stoppage, and also in the rematch where I think he was robbed of a deserved victory in a fight that even Leonard himself later admitted to losing. I can't imagine how often Hearns has thought of how differently history would look back at him if he were to have held on to his lead in that first fight, and had his hand justly raised in the rematch. That's what makes this fight so important.
