What was the single most competitive fight in history?

i'm thinking maybe "the brawl in Montreal"

Hello sir. Yes the Leonard vs Duran first fight was very competitive and one of the most anticipated fights as well but there are several others that to me were even more competitive. Here they are:

The Ward vs Gatti trilogy. There's fighters that just need to fight each othter to bring out the best and make for all out action fights and these two guys were not only evenly matched but made for the best action you could hope for.

The Graziano vs Zale first two fights. Hardly has there ever been two guys that went at it like Zale and Graziano with lots of bistering and almost nonstop action. Like Ward vs Gatti, these two were made to fight each other.

The Holyfield vs Bowe trilogy. All 3 of their fights were close and with lots of action and drama. Heck there was even a guy coming into the ring in a parachute in one. What more could you ask for?

The Ali vs Frazier trilogy. Of course this is perhaps the most famous of the trilogies as Frazier became the 1st man to defeat Ali ad the Thrilla in Manilla is an all time classic.

Foreman vs Lyle. Never in my life have I ever seen two big heavyweights slugging it out like these two did. Multiple knockdowns and heartstopping action between these sluggers.

Hearns vs Hagler. This is the greatest 3 round fight in history bar none. If you want action. this was it between two great fighters.

Holmes vs Norton. Another great heavyweight fight. This fight was about as close and competive as they come and for the entire 15 rounds. One of my all time favorites!

As far as picking just one, it's alost impossible but I will say Holmes vs Norton.

John L. Sullivan vs.James J.Corbett was pretty competitive going 75 rounds.

Johnson/Jeffries went 26 rounds.

Many,Mnay more besides Montreal.

Bobby Chacon vs Bazooka Limon

There are simply TOO MANY for us to choose just one. Yeah, The Brawl was one of them. Thrilla in Manila is another, and also, the first two Holyfield-Bowe fights.

Norton vs Holmes was VERY competitive (hence the split decision).

Leonard vs Hagler was obviously extremely close and competitive.

Israel Vazquez vs Rafa Marquez III was an awesome and violent fight.

Ron Lyle vs George Foreman to me was the ultimate super power vs super power.

You got to take Hagler v Hearns into consideration...
