Will it really hurt Floyd's legacy if he never fights Pacquiao?

YES. Just imagine how people questioned a fighters achievement like Sugar Ray Leonard who fought all those fighters who were on his way and still being questioned, much more Floyd who can fight Canelo, a bigger fighter but making a lot of excuses to avoid Manny Pacquiao, a fighter he can only fight and malign through any source of media he can find. Is it not that Rocky Marciano likewise was being questioned and blamed for fighting in a weak Heavyweight era which is not even his own doing? Look at the Klischkos who was being blame and can not be considered as great for not having the same achievement as those great legends like Ali, Frazier, Leonard, Hagler Duran among others. If these fighters just can not find a place on others heart and being the subject of unimaginable mudslingings, much more a fighter who refuse to fight a legit competition like Manny Pacquiao and to make matter worse, making all ridiculous reasons why he can not. Calling himself the TBE makes it even ridiculously insane. Anointing himself as the TBE and yet avoid the opponent we have been wishing he fought a long time ago and up to now can not is something beyond comparison in terms of courage.

Legacy? He will be remembered as an individual who make a book load of alibis and reasons he can not fight a midget, the name he called Pacquiao. HISTORY will judge him in due time.

Just imagine if Ali declined to fight then juggernaut George Foreman who just beat his greatest tormentors in Norton and Frazier. I mean dispatched em just like that cuz beat was too weak a word for what Big George did to these two. There's no other word for it but DUCK... Or if Mike Tyson just totally ignored Lewis and Holyfield,... or if Lewis never fought Klitsko...or the fab four in DUran, HEarns, SRL and Hagler feared each other and never battled each other out in the ring. What if?? .Our mind will forever think of what might have happened. And the CHICKEN and DUCK will go hand in hand hurting their legacy if ever there will be such a legacy.

Will it really hurt Floyd's legacy if he never fights Pacquiao?

YES...and it's a big YES...For as long men tend to lace up gloves and fight in the squared ring, Floyd will be a topic and much will view how much he feared Manny. Nothing will be heard about the purse split, or the random testing, or war of networks and the promoters. It will just be FLoyd. "Yeah", that undefeated guy who's scared to death facing MAnny PAcquiao in the ring" said our grandchildren

It won't hurt him at all. Floyd has established his on legacy, has maintained an undefeated record and has portrayed boxing skills that will live to be remembered. Not forgetting he is a 5 division world champion. Even if he fought Pacquiao and won, his critics would still look for something to discredit him, because they judge him by his persona rather than his skills.

Pacquiao's legacy is set. He's the greatest of this era. Mayweather needs to fight Manny to take that crown from Manny and he will be known as the biggest coward in boxing history.

Yes, I believe so. We will be hard pressed to come up with a deserving current or past foe that would define his career and legacy outside of his now fellow boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao. Unless it is somebody as big as Gennady Golovkin.

Its already hurt, that he wont fight people in there prime, Mosley at 140 ws unstoppable, and the list goes on. Ray Robinson won 100 fights before his first loss as a welterweight.Rocky knocked people out, he wasent a point fighter, Floyd will always be the what if fighter.

Yes, it's the fight that everyone - boxing fans or otherwise - wants to see. Manny wants it and the ball is in Floyd's hands. If he continues with his excuses, then he'll be forever be known as the "Great Ducker".

Floyd's legacy = Drama queen of boxing

enough said!

Yes it will! Because all the boxing fans across the whole world want to see these two in the boxing ring. Floyd should to accept this challenge not for his own but for his millions of followers.

His legacy is set. He does not need Pacquiao, the fans do. Likewise for Pacquiao. No legacy depends on one fight.

.

IDK?! It seems like no matter what the guy does, it works out for him. He cherry picks opponents, and dominates PPV. He savagely beats up his ex-wife, and gets a slap on the wrists. He ducks Pacquiao, and is championed for "cleaning up the sport of boxing."

It seems like nothing the guy does negatively impacts him. Its amazing really. Will never fighting Pacquiao actually do any damage to his legacy???

-

Most people view him as a ducker and not realistically a true fighting champion. A cherry picker is what he's called.

Not just his legacy is getting hurt. His butt too. To Floyd the name Pac is a pain in the azz. He stutters at the mention of the word Pacquiao.lol

Definitely. He will be the only fighter who claims to be the best but won't prove it except on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. And the more clamor for him to fight, the more scared he gets.

No. Manny in my opinion doesn't deserve to fight him. And Floyd should get the bulk of all the money. Manny wants and needs a big payday. He would even be willing dive for that money. But that wont be necessary. Floyd will beat him anyway. He will adjust to any left hand. Manny is so freaking open he can be hit, He also is on his legs during the fights he has had. He stops running, and he gets hit. Ask Marquez.

its like you are asking if it will hurt if you let a stone hit you in the head.... 1st off, I dont see his fans a majority, 2..its just natural his fans wil always cover his @$$*, 3.. if you know a bit of boxing history, you'll know what youre sayin is quite the opposite

lolz.. look at floyd fighting big fighters but never fought a MIDGET

Yes.
