Do people critize fighters a little too much ?

like for exemple floyd mayweather jr do you think he deserves all this bad critisism or people just criticize him being hes a an arrogant douchebag or because there just racist or bias

Mark,

First of all professional fighters on the big stage are there for people to critique them, we after all literally pay their salaries, so when you have fighters making thousands, hundreds of thousands and millions they are open game.

In the case of Mayweather, you pretty much summed up what he is. Race has nothing to do with him being a convicted woman beater 3x's. Threating the lives of his children and blatantly disrespecting his father on HBO.

Plant taters, you get taters.

Yeah a little too much.

Its true that criticizing is good, and boxers should be criticized so they can learn there mistakes. Thats called constructive criticsm. You can also criticize what they do outside the ring. Floyd Mayweather Jr. said racist things to Filipinos, he's arrogant, beat a woman up, etc. He deserves criticsm on that, and was criticized by many. However, in the ring, you've gotta give all fighters their respect. Any man to step into the ring has guts. No matter if they are good or not, stepping into the ring and fighting is not easy.

He gets backlash because of what he says, but if he didn't say it he wouldn't get much attention at all thus less money.

Larry Holmes and the Klitschkos both dominated boxing but both were/are technical boxers who make few mistakes and who talk little $hit thus they don't bring attention to themselves and sold less.

Charley Burley fought with the same style as Mayweather but very few gave him attention in his time because he didn't talk crap.

Mayweather talks crap, says he is the greatest ever so people criticize him for not being in par with Robinson, Greb & Duran [who did do more then Mayweather]. By saying things like that he is using a huge standard and people criticize him for not living up to that standard but at the end of the day he promotes himself and sells his fights unlike Charley Burley, so he's rich.

When he retired he will be better analyzed and he might be loved like Ali [who was hated in youth].

Definitely not. They are all glass-jawed frauds except for Manny Pacquiao, and he's a china chinned disgrace as well to be honest hahahah.
