Do you think a lightweight boxer can knock out a heavy weight if he get a clean shot?

lets say that the heavyweight is just standing there and the lightweight throws a big shot right on his jaw will he go down?

That is very unlikely. Since a lightweight weighs 135 he does not have the mass to affect someone weighing over 200 pounds.

It is possible, but I would not bet on it, and if I was the lightweight who hit the heavyweight I would be running instead of looking after hitting him.

Interesting question.

Bruce Lee. Dynamic Power. Agility. Explosiveness.

There is a book on his Bruce's training and a LOT of what you are asking is entirely based on that lightweight's ability to:

1. execute power with

2. speed and

3. agility ALL IN

4. one explosive millisecond!

[One of the reasons Pacquiao is so powerful with his punches is because he has Bruce Lee-esque power. That is what he is KNOWN for.]

Back to that book:

Bruce weighed 130 or 135 pounds soaking wet with 0.02% bodyfat.

His closest students (teachers today) witnessed that he could hold a barbell with weight-plates of 75 pounds at his shoulders/chest, then PRESS IT OUTWARDS, LEVEL to his shoulders without lowering it for something like 2 minutes!

That for a fact is power, + agility, + speed amassed into one frame (body; torso; arms; legs).

Many of his trainers, students, and friends who fought and trained with Lee stated he had the power to knock out 200+ pound men because he punched with power + speed + agility + explosiveness. In other words, he was a 135 pound man who punched like a 250 pound man but a helluva lot FASTER!

Take any average, non-explosive heavyweight boxer and on any given punch, they can knock a man on his back with their power.

BUT BRUCE LEE COULD DO THE SAME THING AND A HELLUVA LOT FASTER! For 1 heavyweight punching, Bruce could do that same punch 3 or 4 times.

Not a good heavy weight or light heavy weight now a 147 lb can. I have seen this my self a couple of times but never a light weight.

Yeah possibly especially if their names Barry McGuigan.

probably I knew a fighter that killed a guy with one punch.

Yea , it already has happened and I've seen it

lets say that the heavyweight is just standing there and the lightweight throws a big shot right on his jaw will he go down?
